The display is large and clear The buttons are solid, round and recessed for finger tips except the start / stop which is larger and a different colour. Setting a time is easy with the different increment buttons (no silly plus / minus) and you can quickly reset. It sticks to a fridge, cooker front, extract fan (if metal) or will stand on a counter. The volume on high is loud enough for my bad hearing to hear from a different room or over the top of other kitchen noises. It feels really well made and it doesn't fall off if you close the fridge door a little too hard. All in all an absolute gem of a device, that allows you to quickly and easily set a countdown for boiled eggs to turning the roast potatoes this Christmas. It would be perfect for many, many other uses and despite having it only a few days, is in regular use. It easily takes five stars but I would make two suggestions: 1. Because of the thickness of the magnet, the bottom half the the device sits slightly off the surface. When you press the lower buttons, it rocks. I fixed this with a few layers of electrical tape just covering the battery compartment cover so the whole device sits flush with the fridge. It could probably do with a magnet on the lower half as well. 2. The second suggestion would be to offer it with a lit screen.
