Product Description INADINE INADINE PVP-I Non-Adherent Dressing consists of a low adherent knitted viscose fabric impregnated with a polyethylene glycol (PEG) base containing 10% Povidone Iodine; equivalent to 1.0% available iodine.Iodine is a highly effective topical antimicrobial that has been used clinically in the treatment of wounds for more than 170 years. It has a broad spectrum of antimicrobial activity with efficacy against bacteria, microbacteria, fungi, protozoa and viruses How does it work? The Povidone Iodine molecule has a broad spectrum antimicrobial action and has been proven to be effective against MRSA3-5.INADINE minimises adherence to the wound bed, therefore reducing the risk of damage to the granulation tissue at dressing removal, and in clinical practice has been shown to reduce pain for patients.As PVP-I is released from INADINE the dressing will change colour from orange to white. The colour change provides an indicator of how frequently dressings should be changed preventing unnecessary dressing changes, when compared to other dressings. This could improve cost effectiveness in treatment. Indications INADINE is indicated to manage ulcerative wounds and may also be used for the prevention of infection in: Minor burns Minor traumatic skin loss injuries Clinical studies suggest that INADINE may also be an appropriate dressing choice in the management of chronic wounds, including: Ulcers deriving from different aetiologies Diabetic foot ulcers Pressure ulcers Please note outer boxes may not always be supplied Directions Open sterile sachet, apply dressing to wound ensuring 10% Povidone Iodine covers the wound.

Review: Useful to have at home - I seem to be accident prone this year. I had a knee injury from a fall and had to visit a nurse twice a week for dressing change. This is what she used. It took my knee 2 months to heal. A month later I fell again, I had 2 Inadine dressings left over and ordered more just in case! Have been using them and my knee has healed pretty much within 2 weeks, the wound was more beneficial this time. I highly recommend having some of these at home, I also bought "Cutiderm Sterile Adhesive Wound Dressing 10cm x 10cm" to cover the Inadine. Both are very helpful.

**Q: Is the product helpful for shoulder and back warts?**
A: Not. are about warts, but certainly good for any wound that is infected or very nasty, it will sting a bit and it will draw but thats taking any infection out. Use it a lot as I have places that come up on my legs and it helps them heal

**Q: Can I use this on my knee or does it have to be foot?**
A: You can most certainly use it on a wound on your knee.

**Q: Does it dry quickly?**
A: We used it under a faux skin patch so it didn't dry out. They worked very well to aid healing an open ulcer.

A: No, they're rubbish for swimming. I use armbands instead.
