I hated being on shoots and not having visibility from behind the camera, or a clean mounting solution to monitor audio when plugged directly into the camera. This solves that, but also since it enables audio connection from the hot shoe mount itself, you don't have to worry about the 3.5mm audio cable. I like having less cables. I use it on a pair of FX3s and a Sony A7RV at times. It's fantastic! If you're on the fence like I was, just buy it.
