Has lock hasp ready for lock. Very satisfied with this box on front of trailer. **Q: what drilling is reqired in mounting?** A: Yes. We mounted ours with four (4) screws into the trailer frame. I am not sure how else you would mount it. **Q: Will the harbor freight 2000 watt generator fit in this?** A: It will if your lay it sideways. But honestly it being a generator I wouldn’t. **Q: Can it be used as a boat seat or is the top not sturdy enough?** A: Most certainly not sturdy enough.
