If you have a new social security card you need to cut it just a hair to make it fit but if you have an older one then it fits just right for its size. Thickness is good enough for you to feel your card is secured in a sturdy and clear case.

Fits my SS perfectly! I liked through Amazon based on photos of it covers tge card entirely and as you can see, it covers 100%. It keeps it intact. The reason why my SS looks so old is because it was years until I realized I needed a cover since you can't laminate it or meddle with it.
