GPG2 Notebook Lift for 13 to 17 Inch Notebook Computers, Pink Translucent (102-1NOL-PI)

Amazing stand. Folds flat for backpack. Holds 13 inch MacBook Pro notebook computer up well, raising the screen by about three inches off the desk. I can still type using the keyboard, and this degree of slant is, in my opinion, the most one would want if they are still using the notebook's own keyboard (with a separate Bluetooth or wired board, one could jack it up higher with a different stand, or put a book under this stand, if they wanted). The M Stand by Rain Design, Amazon's best-selling stand, is better, but it ten times the price and not portable. If one is not moving frequently, the M Stand is amazing (but requires a separate keyboard, based on my use). For students, and others on the go, this GPG2 Lift is solid and good. I love the M Stand, too. I bought a second one, also in pink, because of the greatly discounted price over other colors (as of this writing, a bout 1/3 the price) and the great way this works. It's not ugly pink, but is rather see-thru and subdued. I am a dude, and not subdued, and I still feel like a manly Trojan horse when I use the pink stand, so that says something as I would never wear a pink polo shirt, for instance. Honestly, the pink is sort of titty-pink, and probably prevents someone from pilfering this stand from me. Were it black, or blue, or even brown, it'd likely be in someone else's backpack now. lol Cheers.

I'm happy there is an alternative to all the ridiculously overpriced monitor stands out there. This is a great design for smaller laptops, and folds flat so I can pack it in my laptop bag. It's slightly wiggly, but great value for the price and not too bad as long as you're not typing on it like a crazy person. 6/23/14 Edit: A few years later, I decided to add another star for 5 stars. Every time I take my laptop to work or to a friend's house with this stand, they ask about it and think it is rad. I love how small it is and how inexpensive it was, and how well it has held up. It would make a great gift for owners of medium sized laptops.
