Slight learning curve to master the operation.
This unit heats up really quickly, but very selective on pots and pans used. Must be steel, cast iron, or alloy designed for use on it.It seems to be pretty accurate on temperature but on start up it seems to overheat before it begins to regulate temperature. It will hold a large pot, i use a 5 gallon pot, and it works just fine, once you learn how to operate it.

Love this cooktop!
I used this brand and model at a friend's and loved it, so I bought one for myself. Love it. It's more costly than their smaller model, but this one allows setting the temperature in 5 degree increments which makes a big difference when you want to simmer something. I use the smaller one (that only has 10 degree increment settings) for making my coffee.
