Then in the next line it says,"The surface of white paint treatment, not easy to rust, waterproof". The grammar gives away that it is made in China and so the packaging says. Nowhere on the packaging does it mention what kind of metal these brackets are made from. In another product description for an identical appearing bracket (for more than twice the price) it states that bracket is made of painted cold rolled steel. The fact that this bracket is painted makes me very doubtful that it is polished stainless steel. If it really is, then the paint is probably going to just fall off pretty soon.Anyway, I'm going to use it for a folding shelf attached to a propane BBQ smoker. We'll see if it lasts or just rusts away. ### ⭐⭐ Do not open to a level position *by D***V on Reviewed in the United States on March 21, 2019* I bought these several months ago to use for a variety of purposes. The price was reasonable and I can make the shelves do what I want them to do for most purposes. However, the brackets, when open, are not at 90 degrees to the wall and therefore are not level. I put one set up for a folding shelf. The shelf is 20 inches deep and I shimmed between the outside edge of the bracket and the bottom of the shelf in order to raise the outside edge of the shelf to level. I just completed a second project for a folding shelf for a miter saw stand. The shelf is 22 inches from the back of the hinge and in that short a space the shelf drops right at one inch below level. That really isn't acceptable for this particular use. I attempted to shim the bracket on the bottom of the portion that attaches to the wall, but that did not resolve the problem . The issue is in the latching mechanism. The bracket can be raised to level but when released it drops to its natural position which is below level. I will again try to shim the horizontal portion of the hinge at the outside edge to see if I can make the adjustment. If I'm unsuccessful I guess I will build a drop down bracket to perform the job that I bought these hinges to do, which means that, at least for this purpose, the money was wasted. ### ⭐⭐ Not level *by P***A on Reviewed in the United States on December 28, 2018* When the brackets are fully open and locked, the angles are not strictly 90 deg square. So the table will not be level. Imagine a full bowl of soup ... The offset angle may be slight. It may not matter for your purpose. But every table should be level. And it's not the only one; I found the same for another product review.Otherwise, the bracket is totally well build. Coating is solid.
