This thermometer is the bomb. It's almost instant. I use it every time I cook meat and it's accurate and easy to use. It's easy to read, about as easy to clean as any other thermometer and I haven't had to change the batteries since I've purchased it almost a year ago. It has a sleep function so it turns on automatically when you pull out the probe, shuts off if you leave it open long enough, and turns off when you put away the probe. I keep this guy stuck to the side of my fridge with the magnet. It's held up very well, and has been a worthwhile investment. Would highly recommend if you cook meats a lot, or if you are scared of getting salmonella from chicken so you cook it until it isn't edible anymore.

This thermometer is very similar to many others that look alike but it is significantly faster to indicate the temperature. I hate holding my hands near the heat source when measuring the temperature of the meat.

I do get the accurate readings of the temp within usually a second or so. It is bright enough to read in the day or night time. It has a decent magnet (it SHOULD be stronger at this price point) but it does work fine. It can be used right/left-handed, it is accommodating. The battery should last you for years to come. The overall waterproofing is amazing. I am confident that this is one of the best, if not, THE BEST Meat Thermometer you should get if you love cooking a good juicy steak at the comfort of your own home. (I love Medium rare/ Medium Steak) You should give both the meat thermometer and Medium temp a good try.

I have not used it that long, but it is awesome for someone who is left handed. A great addition!
