Update: I was looking to buy a few more but they are currently unavailable 😔 These definitely work very well for my solar projects. These small 6w solar panels actually did charge my phone. I was really doubting it would... It charged it from 32% to 100% in about 2 - 2 1/2 hours under very sunny conditions. Ran a 5watt fan just fine. -It does need strong sunlight for the phone and the fan, however, for smaller devices like rechargeable lightbulbs and lights, it works great, too! Also works very well with rechargeable battery that have the usb cable. They are small and esthetically pleasing. I hang them on my windows and they go to work once they get sunlight -even on cloudy days. They can be connected in parallel and work better. ONE IMPORTANT FEATURE IS THAT THEY DO NOT REVERSE CHARGE. This means it will not drain your device's battery if you forget to disconnect at night or if it gets cloudy. -An important feature. The only thing I would suggest to the manufacturer is that the ports should placed more towards the center of the back of the panel. This would protect the cable and port from sun heat and accidental damage. Good product to have for beach, camping, every day use and power outage. It can also be used as a booster for solar string lights that are also usb rechargeable. I keep one connected to my string light solar panel and the lights stay on all night. These panels do a great job charging power banks,too. I will keep testing these panels and updating this review as I use them. For the price, it is a great deal! Would by again and from this seller.

Because of their relatively low power output, these have a narrow window of potential uses, but within that window they are a relatively sturdy and reliable way to trickle charge devices. Strap one to your backpack and charge your phone while hiking or camping, leave one on the dash of your car to maintain an emergency battery pack, jump starter, or air pump, or build one into a custom project. With a little DIY, you could even wire them together in series or parallel. Just be aware these won't charge big batteries, power stuff in real time, or put out much at all in anything but strong sunlight.

I bought these to try to use With my Arlo cameras that are mounted outside under the eaves of my house. These work really well charging the outside cameras. The Arlo version of a solar charger is about 60+ dollars. This save me some bucks and worked like a charm. PS I use the cable that came with the Arlo camera. It was a perfect fit.
