A: Probably not

**Q: Does it  fit a 5x5 vinly post**
A: Yes

**Q: can this lock be mounted on a 4x4 post?**
A: yes, i installed on 4x4 (3 1/2"). tells you where to cut the locking stem in order to work. i have had no issues.

**Q: Why does my button stay depressed it doesn’t automatically come out again?**
A: That means that its not quite lined up correctly, I had to make an adjustment on mine

I installed this lock about 6 months. It has been wonderfully. It works well, smooth action, secure locking, easy to use. It was easy to install. I just took my time and referred to the instructions frequently. the only issue i had was the fence company had added a 2X2 square metal reinforcement in the corner of my 5X5 post and I had to drill through 2 sides of it for the interconnection rod. I leave a key in the inside lock so i don't have to carry keys all the time.
