Definitely worth the money. The size of the cube is perfect my cooler.

Does take a while to freeze, but it's a lot of water. It doesn't slip out, need to maneuver a little. Easier than cutting a gallon water bottle to freeze

The one I have works well

We recently adopted 2 new dogs and they have not learned house manners yet so we're doing our best to keep them cool and comfortable in this record hot summer. They have cool spots, mud holes, misters and ice. Unfortunately the regular ice cubes from the freezer don't last long. When I saw these ice molds for large bricks of ice available as a promotional I ordered them. These molds make 2.5lbs of ice at a time. Tip: if you are not good with your balance (think ice tray with no dividers), put the mold into the freezer first and then fill while it's sitting there. Unless silicone trays have a solid wire frame around the top they are hard to handle once they get water in them. Not flimsy but awkward. We gave the dogs one this morning and it got dropped where it broke into several pieces. Both dogs grabbed a piece and took off with it, see pics above. I know these will get used to throw in the small pool we have in summers and also to carry in ice chests to delay melting. For now I'm happy the dogs like their ice and it helps keep them cool.

Easy to get ice from the mould when frozen. Ice blocks lasted for days in my cooler.
