The beads soften in very hot water. Once the fitting material is softened, you take a small portion of the fitting material and stick it to the replacement tooth. The material fills the space of your missing tooth and some of it is pressed up and behind the neighboring teeth. Once the fitting material cools, it hardens and stays in place. If you do not get a secure fit the first time, you can reheat the beads as many times as needed until you are happy with the fit. **Q: Will adhesive bead material damage two adjacent crowns? Need tooth for 10 days. All 4 front teeth were crowns on posts due to accident as a teenager.** A: should not have effect on the adjacent crowns **Q: Can I use this to cover up existing teeth? After my partial broke the dentist said it would be weeks to have it repaired if they could at all. I found these and may not bother with another partial. It does however take a couple tries to get them in correctly but given the molded plastic is reusable it's no problem. These look and fit better than anything I've ever had. It's great that you get extra teeth. I went ahead ND made a second set so as to always have them on hand. I eat and chew gum with no movement or sticking to the material. They do not impede my speech in any way. Only thing you can't do is drink or eat anything hot with them in. They will soften. In my case it's not an issue. Plus cutting back on coffee isn't a bad thing. If you take your time and don't use to much of the backing on the tooth you'll love these. I looked up videos to see how much to apply and it was not difficult from there. Made me laugh when I saw questions about them being stuck in mouth. Psst.... drink something hot. They'll come right out. Want them to set faster. Drink some cold water. Simple with a great result.
