Very easy to fit - switch off the power to the unit, undo the two retaining screws on the top (just behind the front surround) and pull the top of the unit towards you. This disengages it from the baseplate, which remains in the wall. Fitting the new unit is the reverse of removing the old one. With no need to change the wall-mounted base plate, no electrical connections have to be re-made - the timer just "plugs in" as you fit it, so very easy. Once install works a treat. One small difference from the original is that it has no small neon "on" light, so if you have lost track of whether it is on or off you'll have to check to see what the boiler is doing (does it come on when you turn up the thermostat?).
