Low wattage, warm light output. (My wife is very light sensitive!)2. Small footprint, but heavy enough to not be pushed off the nightstand when reaching for it in the dark.3. Not of ultra-modern design; something classic.4. Dimmable, and touch activated if possible.The JINZO lamp met all of these standards, plus it had the added benefit of coming as a pair. We replaced both nightstand lamps, adding a symmetry to our bedroom decor which was previously lacking (in this aspect, only!).The price was reasonable, and we liked the option of purchasing the required light bulbs at the same time. Quick delivery, and it only took me about 30 minutes to assemble both lamps, put them in place, test them, and dispose of the packaging! First, the overall quality is good to excellent. The bases were heavier than I expected and as heavy as I had hoped. Nothing worse than a night stand light that falls over when you are trying to turn it on. The finish is good, the glass shades are well done and the cord is nice and long. Yes the bulbs are not included and the manufacturer says that the dimming is not compatible with all LED bulbs so to just avoid the experimentation time, I went with incandescent. The bulb you will need is a candelabra base with globe style body; usually called a decorator style. The flame style bulbs are too tall and won't work. Packing was good; no damage or missing parts. I bought it to go next to the bed since my husband is handicapped & needs the extra light when he gets out of bed. It is small so I may replace it with a taller bedside lamp at some point.
