Since you take it out of the box, you can see the quality of the material feels quite firm in your hand, nothing disposable or poor quality plastic. The grip is super comfortable and the design is elegant and modern. As for the operation, turn on the first one without struggling. The flame is super stable, powerful and very precise, perfect for all kinds of use in the house: from lighting deep candles, the stove or the grill, to kitchenettes such as caramelizing desserts or lighting cigars. In addition, the control to regulate the intensity of the flame works great and does not turn off so easily with the wind. Refilling it with butane is very simple and does not throw gas or waste when filling it. It shows that it is a well-thought-out product to last a long time.

I bought this lighter and was immediately impressed. First off, it was larger than I expected, about 8" tall. It fits well in your hand and makes it seem much less fiddly than a normal lighter. It isn't terribly heavy, but has enough heft to make it seem very durable. Igniting it is when it becomes most impressive. The flame is adjustable and intimidating when I full blast. I've used it multiple times and it allows you to focus flame on a specific area so as to get your fire going. Unlike regular lighters, you can practically hold this lighter upside down and the powerful "jet flame" stays focused, instead of rising and burning your fingers. Functiona isn't difficult to fill with butane, having a little port on the bottom of the handle. This however is my only criticism. It is difficult to tell how much butane you have left in the lighter, and when using it, it burns through the butane quickly. This is a minor criticism, but regardless, I believe the item is worth the money.

Bought this for my deep jar candles and to light the grill, and it’s perfect. That 4.5 inch flexible neck is a game changer - you can bend it 360 degrees and light those candles at the bottom of the jar without burning your fingers. It’s a real torch flame, not that weak little flicker you get from the cheap long lighters. Lights instantly, even outside when it’s windy here in Texas. I also love that you can see how much fuel is left through the little window and you can adjust the flame strength with the wheel at the bottom. Heads up: it comes with NO butane due to shipping rules, so you have to fill it yourself. I had to grab a butane can with the long nozzle tip. Once I figured that out, it was easy. For the price, this is way better than the disposable BIC grill lighters.
