Hype is Real
WARNING: these goggles are NOT for beginners. If you are just learning how to swim, youโll have enough to worry about, without having to deal with these goggles! But if you are experienced and have some patience learning to adjust these goggles (especially the nose bridge), youโll be awarded with clear goggles with no leakage. I used to buy goggles with a single piece rubber seal around the edge, but no moreโฆ โฆI think this pair will be the last pair that I buy. The seal is tight and the sight is clear. Youโll have to deal with the initial pain of the hard plastic on your cheekbones, but after a minute, you wonโt notice. Theyโre good enough that your swimming will improve.

As Awesome As I Remember
Of your one that feels you need rubber or foam to seal these may not be for you. I was a foam/rubber swimmer in the 80โs and then we had a foreign exchange student from Austria. He introduced me to the Swedish goggles. They will take some getting used to if your transitioning from foam/rubber. They will take some adjusting to get them perfect. Perfect for diving off the blocks and not leaking or peeling off your face. Once you get them dialed in though, best thing ever. Sleek and simple. Used them for a few years and was glad to see them on Amazon when I returned to the pool a few years ago! I own 4 pairs now, darks and red, or backups for my backups. Strap is one long piece of rubber, buy a few extras if you get the goggles. You will have to assemble the goggles and then tie the ends together on the head strap. Tie it loosely at first and then test drive them. Make necessary adjustments until you get them perfect. Then snug down the knot. For $10 these are the best. I wouldnโt own a pair of $50 goggles, just really no benefit to it when the Swedes have nailed it with these.

My faves
My second pair in over a decade. These last forever if you take care of them. I only needed a new pair because the old ones were finally too scratched up. If youโre considering buying these, read online instructions to get a better idea of how to put them together/file them down for comfort. They do not fit like traditional goggles, have no rubber around the edges, and will be uncomfortable for some people. They take some adjusting and Iโd recommend buying a bungee cord strap to go with them. Once you have them the way you want them, theyโll be the perfect goggles for years. I swam competitively with these, and they lasted through many years of lifeguarding and swim practice.

Great goggles for daily swimmers who are tired of tight goggles.
These are the typical Sweeds. I do not suggest these goggles if it is your first time swimming, or for young kids. For adults that swim on a regular basis these goggles are comfortable for most head shapes, especially people of nordic descent it seems. I have not seen many Asians like these goggles! That being said, they are comfortable and low drag goggles that are the cheapest on the market. The rubber straps will only last for a couple months, usually a pair will last ~3-5 months of daily use. That is why i purchase 4 pairs at a time!

Same as they were from when I was a kid - perfect!
Just like they were when I was a kit on swim team. Simple, lightweight, and they work for my face. These do not have a rubber gasket/seal, and I have known a few folksthat cannot get a seal, and others that this hurts their face due to them sitting in your eye sockets. I like the low profile aspect of them I my eye sockets as they blow off my face less when I am diving in. These do come "disassembled" and I am not sure if there were instructions for them. If you look at the picture online, you can see ow they go together, it is pretty easy. I also do not use the nose piece given, it rather a piece of the strap as this allows for more flexibility I adjustment, and quick replacement. Note: these often come straight out of a mold (if not always) and may require you to file the rim of the goggles down slightly with a nail file to remove a small ridge from over pouring of the plastic. It took me 10ish minutes, but I grew up doing this so I know what to expect. All goggles have this issue, the other goggles however cover it up with the plastic gasket/seal.

Swedish goggles for the win!
My year-round swimmer LOVES these! He is 14 and thinks these are the best! He collects goggles - he has a bunch and these are his go-to for practice. His other favorites are the Tyr Tracer X and Speedo Vanquisher 3.0. They fit his face so well! They donโt leak or fog!
