Just bought the item. Seems good but there's no instructions or manual. Can you provide something?

Just plug the large plug to large jack on the tester. use the key to connect your PS will have either 20 or 24 pin. once thats in the lights will light if the voltages are there. Most PS units no longer use -5v so that prob won't be lit. with the large connecter still attached plug the additional connectors one at a time in to check the voltages on them.

What is the indication if the ps is dead?

Simply either it doesnt work, or a reading is way below of the parameter

Does this have a sata polarity check? Sata moulding is designeded to fit only one direction. Some testers unfortunately allow flipping both directions

This tester has SATA polarity check. Though the SATA cable can be conected both ways on the tester, there is onle one position in which it will work for testing. Even if you connect the SATA cable wrong at first, it won't damage the unit because there are testing contact only on a side of the SATA tester, and also the PCB is correctly isolated in case it is connected wrong. It really helps and the unit is high quality, by the way.

Dell power supply has remote turn on. How do you activate power supply for testing? There is no switch on power supply, pc turns on by button on front

i believe this turns on power supply once it's plug in all my power supplies have a switch. so if yours don't have one it should turn on automatically once plugged in
