I would use over a period of three+ weeks for various jobs. Will the paste keep that long once opened.** A: Yes definitely, make sure the lid is tightly on and it will last! I pasted my walls nearly 5 month ago and needed a bit to stick down a bit of wallpaper that the cat scratched off and mine was still perfectly fresh. **Q: can this be used for "paste the wall" non-woven wallpaper?** A: Yes definitely. I used it and it worked brilliantly **Q: Can this be applied to the wall** A: No. I sized our walls with traditional water based paste and that worked really well. **Q: Is this OK for putting hessian on walls** A: I have been a β€œDecorator β€œ for quite number of years and I reckon that out of all ready mixed pastes Solvite is generally the best all round. Is the hessian paper backed ? because if you apply too much paste on to the wall or surface to be covered it can squeeze through the weave . ( When not paper backed ) . Use the Solvite β€œ Neat β€œ -not diluted , keep the paste off of the edges of the hessian,don’t use a β€œ hard seam roller β€œ because if you press too hard the roller will flatten the hessian and you will have a visible seam on the joins / edges . Paste at least 4inches past the edge of hessian each time , you will not have to cut the paste into the edge of length of hessian .
