Zatanna: Bring Down The House

my daughter absolutely loves zatanna and she really enjoyed this comic. the artwork is really unique but she enjoys this comic so much!

I really like the art, it’s got a cool psychedelic vibe to it and it doesn’t look like your average comic.

This is a really fun story (that has fabulous talking rabbits), with gorgeous (sometimes surreal and expressionistic) art and a really snazzy hardcover and dustjacket. It is a great read and will look good on your shelf!

And then there is Magic. With a character like Zatanna , there can be considerable crossover. Even she can have difficulty telling the difference, especially during childhood. I love that even background bunnies make an significant difference here.

I've been a comics fan since I was 8 years old. Spent my money at the local Soda Shop for my first copies of The BatMan. Followed by Green Lantern followed by The Legion of Super-Heros. All in color for a dime. Fortunately, later on, I became a newspaper delivery boy and made my own money.

I enjoyed the whole thing, fun origin story, great artwork. Side characters all were interesting and added to the story. I honestly didn’t know the one woman was the Stranger till the ending. That’s a perfect gender swap that worked out well. If you like a fun and entertaining read . Pick this up.

This was a slow burn but great build up for what else is in store. I like this origin of Zatanna not knowing who she is or where she came from and that her father isn't exactly what we are used to seeing him as. I like the connection to other characters as well (you'll see what I mean). I'm also excited to see more of Stranger and find out who she really is.

Well, first and foremost, the cover picture is a lie. The red cover is just a dust jacket, the actual cover is banana yellow with a weird picture of Zatanna's eyes going in opposite directions. If you buy it, don't buy for the looks, you'll be dissapointed. The hardback is UGLY. It looks like a Doctor Seuss book, the page margins are extra large on the outside and too tight on the inside because it wasn't designed for this format and a COMPANY LIKE DC SHOULD KNOW THIS ABOUT COMICS, and it's just overall aesthetically unappealing. It's a shame, because the actual story is fine. I liked it enough to buy a bound version, but I wish I hadn't spent the money. I'd send it back, except that it was damaged in shipment, which means it would probably end up getting tossed as a loss, which feels wasteful.

these miniseries are a perfect way to get to know Zatanna more, which i really wanted to do. i enjoyed it so much!!! the art is amazing, i love everything about it. and the colours are so bright and vibrant maaaaan i love the art of Javier Rodríguez. Zatanna keeps stealing my heart more and more every time that i read about her Also the book was delivered in a really good condition im really happy

An awesome retelling of Zatanna's origin. The artwork fits the book perfectly. A great story. Zatanna has always wanted to be a magician. Always practising, but always in her father's shadow, and never encouraged. However, when real magic is involved and a tragedy occurs she is left traumatised and unable to touch her real powers. This does not stop her from becoming a performer but not a magician, but that does not mean the world of magic and true magicians are done with her. Is it her destiny to be just another performer or something even darker? There is a lot of innuendo in this book. Some very strategic panel angles. This is not something new to Zatanna books. I am just surprised Zatanna does not have her own ongoing series. This book finishes with a variant cover gallery.

Excelente obra

Very well written, with sweet moments of friendship and love. The search for the father (a kind of Telemachy?) is unaffected, without pointless questions. The art is magical.
