In a stunning reimagining of history, debut author Caroline Tung Richmond weaves an incredible story of secrets and honor in a world where Hitler won World War II. It's been nearly 80 years since the Allies lost WWII in a crushing defeat against Hitler's genetically engineered super soldiers. America has been carved up by the victors, and 16-year-old Zara lives a life of oppression in the Eastern America Territories. Under the iron rule of the Nazis, the government strives to maintain a master race, controlling everything from jobs to genetics. Despite her mixed heritage and hopeless social standing, Zara dreams of the free America she's only read about in banned books. A revolution is growing, and a rogue rebel group is plotting a deadly coup. Zara might hold the key to taking down the Fรผhrer for good, but it also might be the very thing that destroys her. Because what she has to offer the rebels is something she's spent her entire life hiding, under threat of immediate execution by the Nazis. In this action-packed, heart-stopping novel of a terrifying reality that could have been, Zara must decide just how far she'll go for freedom. Review: Loved This Story! - Awesome and scary story. In the best of ways, THE ONLY THING TO FEAR is a bit Hunger Games-esque, with echoes of X-men, and a bunch of awesome all on it's own. The bits of historical truth really lent to the authenticity of the alternate story as it unfolded. Also? I LOVED Zara. A lot. She's brave and makes hard decisions and does what she thinks is right even in the face of fear, which is a quality I admire in any character, but especially her. Review: I couldn't put it down! - I thoroughly enjoyed everything about this book! Without giving anything away, I'll simply explain that I work nights at a hospital. On rare slow nights I read to help me stay awake. I started this book about 1am and it wasn't long before every interruption was a nuisance. I found myself doing every task as quickly as possible so I could rush back to reading. I was so hooked that I forwent sleeping after being up for 24 hours to read 'just one more chapter', then 'just one more'. Definitely an interesting world to step into and a fun read!

Ordered for my mom. She enjoyed it. Said it was a bit basic in type. Easy read. She didn't like the alternate reality aspects. She said there is like supernatural people with esp or something. But she liked it

Great World War Two Reference!
This book is one of the best books I have ever read. I like how it had a great world war two reference. the Gestapo, the Widerstand, even the Nazis. Not my favorite ending, should have a ending to the war. if not , make a second book. it surprised me how Zara had or was an anomaly. I wish I had those powers. I like how they kill the fuhrer, how Zara had shocked him to death. again, I wish that there could be a second book. five stars!

Truly Amazing!
This was by far the best book that I have ever ridden and before reading this, I thought it wouldn't be very good but when I read it I was truly amazing and I would recommend this book to anyone that wants to read a very good book. Because currently, I am a 7th grader who hates to read. But for my English assignment, I had to read it. And ever since that, I couldn't keep my eyes off of this book. So make sure you read it, it will be very good book I promise you.

Great book I recommend
Great book. I enjoyed reading every page, all my friends would harass me while I read because I don't usually read and they would always want attention but I gave it all to this book. It was a great story line, easy to understand, and interesting. I'd love for this to become a movie it'd be an amazing movie.

This was a fun read! The story moved well
This was a fun read! The story moved well, and the author did a nice job of plausibly creating an alternate present based on a different outcome of WWII.

One to read and re-read
I bought this book for my daughter. She loves it so much, she's read it multiple times. She won't let anyone else read it, as she might want to read it again. (Yes, she has plenty of other books to read and access to the library.)
