Of special note is the self-tapping drill bits. They are AWESOME! If you have ever had to tap threads you know that the pilot bit must match the tap, or the threads are useless. These bits not only have the pilot drill bit, but the tap, AND the chamfer to deburr the edge. How cool is that! Since the tap is part of the same bit, lining-up the angle of the tap with the angle of the hole is just about automatic. It is fast and accurate. Compared to the old-school method of: drill the pilot hole, line-up the tap, tap the hole, deburr the edges, I would say it is at least 10 times faster. Unless you choose the wrong size bit, the screw will fit. ;-)There is a limit to the thickness of the metal they can handle. Sheet metal found in most enclosures is no problem. Cast aluminum bell boxes (exterior rated) are fine. Just don't try to tap a hole in 1/4" metal. That is too much material, the resistance will be high, and the bit is gonna snap. Use the old-school method to tap thick metals. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Not a horrible kit *by W***G on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on November 26, 2018* Plastic door for the square and Phillip's tip bits comes open when you open it, tip holder is garbage, the nut drivers ARE NOT impact rated the magnets come out after a few uses. The black sections that hold bits in their place the holes loosen up and bits occasionally come out of place. Very disappointed in the quality for those things for what you pay for this.BUT... tips are nice and handy, the drill bits are good and the taps are really nice and add a lot of value to this kit. Overall not a bad kit ### ⭐⭐⭐ Poor Quality Except for Taps *by R***N on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on March 23, 2014* The quality of everything in this kit, other than the drill-taps, is garbage.The metal/wood drill bits have a crimped on 1/4" adapter that will not survive very long before the drill bit just spins in the base. The #2 phillips and square drive bits are poorly formed and won't provide a good grip in either type of screw (which was quickly backed up by switching to a different brand tip). The extensions are junk.The masonry bits are decent and the drill-taps are excellent.
