Still a great choice even if it fails after one year of usage.
It worked great until some keys stopped working all of a sudden. Exactly one year after i bought it the number keys on top started failing me. I just re-ordered a new one as it folds really well so it's ideal for traveling. A charge lasts a really long time and I like the feel when I type. Still giving it a five star and not a four star. We live in a world that's pretty disposable and this seems to be the new normal. ProtoArc product team, if you read this make your keys more durable or allow replacements.

Finally, a Folding Keyboard That Doesn't Compromise!
I've tried my fair share of folding keyboards in the past, hoping for the perfect blend of portability and comfortable typing. Unfortunately, they always seemed to fall short. Whether it was an annoying seam right where my fingers would land, oddly shaped keys that threw off my typing rhythm, or the constant need for new batteries (and maybe not havionng them with me), there was always a trade-off. But with this new folding keyboard, I can honestly say those frustrations are a thing of the past! What immediately impressed me is that when unfolded, this keyboard feels and functions exactly like a full-sized, traditional keyboard. I was thrilled to see the inclusion of a complete 10-key number pad, something often sacrificed in portable designs. You genuinely cannot tell it's a folding keyboard when it's open and ready for use. The surface is completely smooth and seamless, eliminating those disruptive ridges that plagued previous models. The typing experience itself is fantastic. The keys have a satisfying and responsive feel, making it a joy to type on for extended periods. It's comfortable and doesn't feel cramped at all, unlike many other portable options. I also love the fact that this keyboard is rechargeable. No more scrambling for batteries or the guilt of constantly throwing them away โ a huge plus for convenience and the environment! Beyond the core functionality, this keyboard excels in other areas too. It's incredibly portable and easy to slip into a bag when folded, making it perfect for travel or working on the go. The Bluetooth connection has been rock solid and consistently stable and reliable. It feels well-built and sturdy, not flimsy or cheap like some other folding keyboards I've encountered. Setting it up was a breeze โ it paired with my devices instantly without any hassle. For the price, I truly believe this keyboard offers incredible value. If you're looking for a folding keyboard that truly delivers on its promise of portability without sacrificing a comfortable, full-sized typing experience, look no further. This one is a game-changer! I highly recommend it to anyone who needs a keyboard for travel, remote work, or simply to save space without compromising on functionality. This is, without a doubt, the best folding keyboard I've ever used!

Get what you pay for.
I've been using this keyboard for 7 months now, 5 days a week, 6-10 hrs per day, and I've taken it traveling on many trips until it unfortunately it stopped working, so I feel like this is an honest review for anyone considering this. Pros: Folded up pretty small, made it easy for commuting or traveling. I love the size, and found that I actually typed faster than my Logitech MX (I have fairly average sized hands) and I will be looking for this size keyboard in my next purchase. Keys were easy to use, nice feedback, nice give, again - liked this better than the Logitech MX. Bluetooth connection was seamless, very quick and awesome. Battery lasted a really, really long time (longer than Logitech MX). Overall - I loved this keyboard! Cons: It broke. Less than a year of use and it's totally done. 3-5 keys just stopped working on the left side including the Command and Shift buttons, and I am a shortcuts person, so for me it's unusable. I treated it well, I was gentle. No warranty was provided at purchase, and here's why: It's $40 y'all. I think we need to be more honest as consumers, and recognize that you often get what you pay for. If you want a cheap decent keyboard that probably won't last very long, this is it. One more con: there's a screenshot button right next to the numlock key, and4 I use the calculator constantly, and kept taking screenshots by mistake. Easy fix, I just removed the key. Overall I'm glad I got this because I realized I like that size better, and a folding keyboard is 100% awesome for commutes or travel. Would I get it again? Nope.

shockingly good
This keyboard is great, oddly nice typing feel, lots of function keys like screen cap and settings and other special keys that take a little getting used to but once you use it for a little, it is a shockingly good keyboard. when folded, it is fairly secure and still easy to open and layout. It folds up to about half the size. The batter life is great and lasts a long time. It can connect up to 3 devices and makes a great travel keyboard. I have a Logitech Master Key that stays on my desk and I use this keyboard to quickly switch between my server, laptop, and desktop. Pair with a remote device mode and you can increase productivity to a ridiculous degree.

convenient and long battery life
Due to recent world changes ((cough))COVID((cough)), our team has all been given laptops instead of desktops to work from. Which has greatly improved work life! I can telework, work from the field, etc., anywhere there's an internet connection, I can get my job done. However. Not having grown up with computers as a natural fact of life, I am unused to a small screen. Those dual monitors at work are a godsend!! I can make do out in the field, or for a quick moment. However, with age, also comes changing eyesight. It's no longer comfortable for me to be only a keyboard's width away from my screen. I need some distance! As my job entails some flexibility, I had purchased a silicone roll-up keyboard so for portability and convenience. It was wonderful! Fit easily in my work backpack. Lightweight. A built-in 10-key pad (I abhor hunting for numbers across the top of the keyboard). The only downsides were that it was corded, and that my fingers didn't glide across the keys as they do on a 'regular' (plastic) keyboard. A coworker saw my silicone keyboard, came to Amazon, and found the ProtoArc XK01 Folding Wireless Portable Keyboard. I had to have one. My co-worker mentioned the battery life when I asked about the keyboard, and I thought, yeah, right. I'll use it more than you do, so there's no way this lasts *that* long. Folks, I am here to tell you that the battery life on this is INCREDIBLE. I ordered this in January 2023. It's now mid-September 2023, and I think I've charged it twice. MAYBE three times in the last eight and a half months. I use the ProtoArc XK01 Folding Wireless Portable Keyboard regularly, and yet sporadically. Depending upon how the day unfolds, I may use it for my entire work day in the field, or it may only be used once for a meeting. Other times, it just lives in my work backpack, ready when I need it. This keyboard (and my mouse) have become indispensable parts of my workday. Pros: - convenient size - BATTERY LIFE (charged three times (maybe two) in the eight and a half months I've had it) - 10-key number pad - ease of use - portability - convenience - USB-C charging port - Bluetooth connectivity to three different devices Cons: - the little feet have come off the bottom - USB-C charging port (depending upon already owned technology) - Bluetooth connectivity to three different devices (if you accidentally hit a button, and can't figure out why your keyboard is no longer working ...) I rated this as five stars because it's become so indispensable to my work life. I was working with a co-worker recently, and needed that distance from the screen. I switched the Bluetooth to setting two, connected to their laptop, and I was able to complete my task much easier! The only issues I've had so far have been that the little rubber feet have fallen off, and the plastic hinge protector on one hinge partially broke. I highly recommend this product!

Very impressed, by this foldable keyboard.
I have use it a short time, very impress with how it connects and types. I was surprised by the plastic outer case it looks great but it's the only part that makes the unit feel cheap. Please do not let that stop you it works great. Using it on a table is the best even when connecting it to your phone. If you need a keyboard for your lap this is not the one to get. It feels sturdy but I still opted to buy a case for the keyboard to care it around easier.

Great value and long lasting quality
I've had this keyboard for almost 2 years now. I absolutely love it. I travel a lot and it makes it so much easier for me to type and I don't need to have my laptop close to me anymore. The only thing I would add if it had the little standing knobs on the back but otherwise it's great. It is very easy to connect to my laptop and easy to switch. The black color makes it look professional. It is a great value and quality. The case is nice to have as well and it helps avoid any scratching. I highly recommend it.

Kind of disappointed *With update
********************************* UPDATE No. 2 (March 8, 2025 ********************************* I contacted the company and they did send me a replacement. I had to shoot a video to prove that my keyboard was not functioning properly first and they mailed out the new keyboard. So, the customer service is great. However, the new keyboard is having similar issues already. It definitely works better than my previous keyboard, but the alt and spacebar keys are sort of difficult to press. They work, but you have to press very hard on them, which I wouldn't mind too much except for two reasons (1) I use alt-tab and alt-ctrl religiously to switch between apps and zoom, so alt is a key I probably use more than any; and (2) it's inconsistent. For whatever reason, you must press harder on the alt and spacebar than the other keys. I wouldn't mind as much if the weight was the same across all keys, but it's not and that's my complaint. Still, I'm very happy they sent me a replacement and will bump them up 2 stars. ****************************** UPDATE: January 16, 2025 ****************************** After using this keyboard for about four months, I was FINALLY starting to get used to the awkward placement and size of some of the keys, and then... it broke. The "T" and "G" keys will no longer work properly. Sometimes, if I press VERY hard several times in a row, I can get one of them to type, but the keyboard is basically useless to me now. It's so frustrating to spend $50 on something that only lasts a few months. Despite that, I still think this would be a nice keyboard if they'd just tweak a few things ... Key placement: Having the "Page Dn" and "Page Up" keys in a row between the right arrow and O numkey is so frustrating. I can't tell you how many times I've tried to click the right arrow or type the "O" and it causes my screen window to page down. It's so annoying. Folding: There needs to be a way to lock it in place when unfolded, especially if you want to use it on your lap. Spacebar: Very inconsistent and will sometimes not register Really, that's about it. If they would tweak those issues, I think it would be one of the best mini keyboards out there. The battery life is excellent, the look is slim and attractive and key mechanism feels nice. ********************* ORIGINAL REVIEW ********************* I'm a weirdo. I spend so much time at a computer that I get excited when I order a new keyboard. The anticipation swells as I watch the tracking info until finally! It's here. This keyboard was no different. However, since the day I unboxed this tri-fold wireless keyboard, I've been met with disappointment after disappointment. The first major disappointment was the folding mechanism. This does not lock when unfolded. That means if you need to place it on your lap -- which I often must do -- it will easily fold back in on itself while you are typing. And even if you place the keyboard on a pillow or something soft, it often sinks into the pillow and bows in a somewhat concave position. The next disappointment is the spacebar. I have no idea why, but I would guess one out of about every 10 presses of the spacebar just does not register. Finally, those tiny, infinitesimal arrow keys. Not only are they very small and difficult to press, they are difficult to find because of the awkward positioning. I cannot tell you how many times I have missed the arrow keys and pressed the "page down" key. It's too many times to count, which leads me to my final negative: the lack of a backlight. I didn't think it would be a huge deal with this keyboard, but it kind of is, just because of the spacing of those arrow keys and some other commonly used keys, like page up/down and the tiny function keys. Am I being too rough on this little keyboard? Maybe. But I kind of feel like I paid just a bit more for this keyboard than most so I guess I was just expecting a little more. Now, don't get me wrong, there are some positives: It folds up nicely and is very compact. It can actually fit in your pocket if it's large enough. And the battery is awesome so far. I've been using this for several weeks without needing to charge it yet. And I probably use it a few hours a day. Finally, the Bluetooth functionality is great. It's responsive, has no ghosting or repeating letters and has never disconnected while using it. It's also nice that it automatically goes to sleep when you fold it and reconnects instantly when opened. I'm still giving it three stars as it's not a complete disappointment, but I feel like a few tiny adjustments (locking mechanism, spacebar tweak and maybe a backlight) would make this an awesome keyboard. As is, it just misses the mark, in my humble opinion.

Almost a year later, still going strong
I use this daily to connect to my phone. It never drops a connection, dust and grime doesn't bother it, and the keys are large and accessible. I've charged it once in 8 months. A few cons: -it can't connect to more than one item at once - the delete and printscreen buttons are small and side-by-side, so they're easy to mix up - you can use it on your lap, but the double-hinges means it will bend down. It's much easier on a flat surface These are pretty small issues and wouldn't stop me buying it again. The phone support it comes with is a great addition, too. Can positively recommend this.
