He's in Year 3, eight years old, so I bought the 8-9 years size and it fits really well. The costume itself is decent enough quality for a fancy dress type of thing - the white shift dress has the red and gold sash stitched to one shoulder and the gold belt is tied at the back with white fabric. The leafy headband looks effective but probably wouldn't be that comfy to wear long-term as the leaves are a bit scratchy, but it's fine for photos/to get the overall effect. My son wore this for Greek day at school, but it would be useful for Roman day too! It would've been cheaper if I were more organised, but I left it until all the schools do Greek day and it was about £15. I still consider this pretty good value for money as there's no way I would be able to fashion such an outfit and have it be something my son was prepared to wear in public...!
