Meta Quest Compact Charging Dock — Works with Meta Quest 3/3S

Works very good! BUT - take notice, replacement batteries are overpriced by Meta at $39 (US) per pair. What is the average price of rechargeable AA batteries? Answer = $5 each maximum (available for as low as $1.50 each). Mark Zuckerberg why are you charging $19.50 each for Meta Quest Controller rechargeable batteries???? SHAME ON YOU! Mark Zuckerberg and META????????

I use these daily! The wireless chargers take some friction out of your Meta setup, leading to using the gear more often. I highly recommend this if you use your Quest with any frequency!

This is the official Quest Charger. Charges the headset and the controllers without issues. As mentioned in some reviews the controllers did disconnect and reconnect randomly. Think I resolved that. The batteries seem to not be connected properly. I have removed them and reset them. It seems they need to sit just right. Like the display aspect of the controller stand and the magnetic charging system. They let out a little beep when they connect. Do recommend.

This is an affordable and good (but not amazing) solution to constantly having to replace AA batteries in Meta Quest controllers. The fitment of the controllers on the charger is a little finicky and not exactly intuitive, but at least there’s a light and soft tone to signify when they’re in the correct charging position. They simply sit in a groove, without anything holding them in place. It would be nice if there was some sort of index mark or strong magnet to snap them into position like some other docks I have, but that’s not a dealbreaker. The batteries are a proprietary shape, so good luck finding replacements in a few years, but they seem to work well thus far so I’ll worry about that later. Continuing with the “good enough but not great” theme, the charge port for the headset is not the fast charge variety, so it will charge a bit slower than it’s capable of. This unit also does not come with a wall plug, and assumes you’ll be using the one that came with your headset. On the positive side: it’s not very expensive, seems to be made of good quality materials, and is fairly small and easy to pack if you’re taking it on a trip. I don’t have a case for my MQ3, but I’ve seen several reviews where people fit this charger into their headset travel cases. Overall, I’ve been happy with after owning it a couple of months, so I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a basic charger for the MQ3 as a casual user.

I had two sets of batteries (did a replacement by contacting Facebook directly). Both sets had the same problem indicating to me that it’s a manufacturing or design error. Basically the control controllers would lose power from the batteries while playing the games. I play beat saber a lot and some swings are just too much for the batteries inside the controllers and cause them to intermittently disconnect. It was really annoying and caused me to fail multiple times. AA batteries work fine in the exact same controller so I know it’s not the controller. The wireless charging was cool, but I feel it was difficult to actually place the control controllers easily into their cradle. The cable provided to charge the headset was way too short as well and didn’t leave a lot of options for placement. Overall terrible product.

This charging dock is exactly what I needed! It works great with my Meta Quest 3 and the controllers, charging everything quickly and without any hassle. The extended headset charging cable is super convenient, and the wireless charging for the controllers is a nice touch. The build quality is solid, and it looks sleek on my desk. For the price, this is such a great deal!

I bought this on Nov 29th it is Jan 3 and for the last week or so the battery in the right controller is already bad. I thought I didn't charge it but then on the charger everything is green. Then when I go to turn it on nothing. So either my chasing dock is bad or the battery is bad. Either way it's not working.

My controllers don’t seem to work with these on despite me putting them to charge over night might be user error but I have got them to work once

I've been after something official for rechargeable batteries for ages for my Q3 as I was sick and tired changing battery every few weeks. I've already got a boboVR head strap and battery packs for that so the controller was the next logical area to sort. The controllers fit perfectly (just remember triggers INWARDS) or you will just get flashing orange lights 😂 Not sure how long it takes to charge from new but so far I'm happy... ohh and the wire it says to use to charge the quest also charges my boboVR newest generation battery so that's a bonus. £60 is a little expensive for what it is but go for it

Ho acquistato questa base di ricarica e la trovo molto comoda per tenere visore e controller sempre in ordine e pronti all’uso. Il design è compatto e il cavo lungo è utile per collegarla senza problemi alla presa. Il visore si carica senza difficoltà. Con i controller bisogna fare un po’ di attenzione a come si posizionano, altrimenti la ricarica non parte subito. Una volta capito il giusto incastro però funziona bene. Nel complesso è una buona soluzione per chi vuole meno cavi in giro e tutto organizzato.
