Yale Assure Lock 2 Touch Fingerprint Deadbolt with Wi-Fi, Satin Nickel

Very much like this lock. It can be locked or unlocked with a code, a finger or with the app. It also can be configured to auto lock or unlock after a set time or event. You can access the lock remotely to determine if door is open or closed and if lock is unlocked or locked. The batteries that came with the lock were discharged within the first three weeks. I bought a set of rechargeable Lithium batteries and they are still going strong after several weeks. I might add that this lock is on our front door and gets utilized often, every day. The lock was easy to install and fit exactly in the hole where my manual dead bolt was removed. I am totally happy with this Yale lock and would recommend it to my friends.

The battery life situation is so outrageous and wasteful that I might go back to an analog lock. Bluetooth is off, every smart feature is off, Wi-Fi is off, autolock is off. I've literally turned off all of the features that would make this a smart lock other than using a code for entry, and I still have to change the battery every month. Absolutely unacceptable.

Welcome to the 21st century. Great instruction for the installation. Super easy to sync and easy to input codes. Now we have one key for screen door and then fingerprint for the door. Makes entering so easy. Easy to add guest code access as well.

I got three of the used, but still new locks and seriously cut the cost down by 2/3 and they work perfectly. I love the idea that I can control these remotely.

I'm very disappointed with this product. I bought this due to its compatibility to SmartThings which is what I use to manage my smart home. I bought two of these for my front and back basement door and the WIFI module will not stay connected. Throughout every day I receive messages that the locks have been disconnected from WIFI for over 15 minutes and the locks blink red with no connectivity most of the day. I get dozens of messages every day. It is not a WIFI coverage thing as the basement lock sites about 15' from my Asus router (ASUS ROG Rapture GT-BE98 Pro) and the front lock sits about 20' from one of my mesh network nodes. I've tried to reset them and just getting them to connect to the app is a challenge and has taken me over an hour just to get them re-added. And of course, then they lose connectivity and I have to do the entire process all over again. Do not purchase these and save yourself the endless headaches.

Impressed that it works under Midwestern freezing weather - that cleared my biggest concern as you don't find reviews or specs easily to confirm. It is easy to install on any standard door, has worked well for over a month of non-stop freezing and below temperatures. The only thing I wish it had is the ability to type randomized sequence with the pin. I have it installed in a dark area, so walking towards the pin pad you can't see any of the keys or fingerprint sensor. Hitting any key lights up the keys on the pad. But it is easy to press any wrong key on first try. Otherwise, it works fast and reliably. Have not tested the Bluetooth or remote control functionality. ****** Update: Over 14 months later Battery started to drain much faster after 9 months. Initially I thought it was due to the unforgiving cold weather, I even enabled the LED to indicate the lock status so I would hopefully notice the battery died. Had to recalibrate to get the autolock to work again - stopped without notice, but I thought it was because batteries drained. third or fourth time into replacing batteries, had noticed keypad was flashing a different code, but no red light. Replaced the batteries and after a long while without using the app, I get a lock jammed message. Working with email support, and instructions are not great. I say I can’t do a factory reset via app, yet they send a set of instructions to try what I explained doesn't work in the first place. Then reset the device using the button, with no instructions on how to locate or do it. Still working throught this, but I can already tell there were and are some Bluetooth issues - never cared but now I realize notifications on the app never seemed to work. After reset attempts, I eventually got the app to do the factory reset, but suddenly it seems to lose connectivity again. Autosense is randomly detected. I may have both Bluetooth and open lock sensory mechanism faulty, no installation issues or other door mechanical problem forcing the lock. Firmware update failed. It may boil down to having to spend lots of time on try and error reset attempts, but I'd hope more seniority, or at least accuracy, in the support offered. This trend of customer care being sorry for customer feelings is just wasteful use of my time and product costs, pretending to care via copy and paste template messages, when actual know-how to resolve issues is clearly lacking.

This was a good value for the money. Only giving 4 stars as I’ve not found someone who can install it yet
