Great headset perfect for work. Connected easily with my laptop and held the charge 12 hours. Thanks !!

everything shown came in the box and charging stands works FAST!
The boom swivels up and down a little bit more stiffly (maybe temporarily) than older models. Otherwise, it is the same great headset I have always worn. (my 4th time with this basic style over many years of use.) I don't listen to music with it. I use it while walking the dog and listening to audiobooks or talking on the phone. Noise-canceling is fabulous. and there is often wind in my area, no one ever complains. It's so comfortable that most of the time I don't even remember it's there. It gets a 6hr and 50 minutes charge on each charge standing in the case. The charging case has its own cord to charge it up. I was worried I might need to swivel it around to put it in the case but it goes right in to the case regardless of which ear you have it swiveled to. The Dongle works so well that I couldn't figure out what was happening. The zoom meeting conversation went straight into my earpiece before I even realized what was hapening! I am teaching English (ESL) on Zoom and could really hear the students so well via the dongle. I am loving it. My previous one lasted 2 years and one month. Don't bother buying an extra warranty since the company is great with product help even after the warranty is over. for those who are worried, mine came in a brown box but it's all I hoped for and I didnt have to buy the case separately for $39. BTW, the packaging is small and all recyclable cardboard! NO PLASTIC! Hallelujah. Made in Mexico so it didn't come across the ocean and pollute the seas or get stuck in the SUEZ! Please take it to be responsibly recycled at a resource recovery destination after the end of its life since the battery is integrated and not replaceable.

Take Pause - Poly 5200 Bluetooth Headset - Poor Quality
I have purchased eight of these headsets and used them for over a year before I posted this review. From my testing of eight of the 5200 series, I have concluded the 5200 series has serious issues in quality: Battery life under performance: 7 to 8 hrs use expected (W/O HD Voice) on avg use, expect four+ hours Voice Commands Notifications fail frequently: goes silent, status isn't available or voice commands available, there's a way to reset sensors by holding vol up& down while turning it on. This only works for a while. This is consistent on the eight headsets I have purchased. Charging port: The accessory case (separate purchase and four different ones tested), charging isn't consistent. The USB port on the headset is often difficult to connect; and the rubber dust cover (On USB) will eventually will fail and no longer be attached to headset. The type of power charger used will play a role as the headset will not charge with high wattage power adapters. The interface is an older version of USB, not USB-C requiring more accessories if you travel. (Charging Cases do not work correctly for me) Bluetooth interference: often I find when in a room w/ other Bluetooth devices there's a level of interference which causes frequent disconnects of the headset. If you have more than one of the 5200's paired with a device, and both are on, its not smart enough to know which one you're wearing. This is a simple software fix. (Senor can tell when you are wearing it) Firmware Updates: Keeping headsets up-to-date is very important. I find that poly has limited & restricted manual firmware updates. Some updates should be reverted for better performance. Its pretty much a one shot deal; take what they offer and that's it. A word of caution too: when looking for firmware updates, I discovered their refurbished headsets do not have the same firmware as a new headset. Performance and feature rich options appear to be more limited/restricted. Microphones drop: I've noticed at times when the battery life is below 25% that the microphones become intermittent. People in conversations complain they cant hear me, so I change to another fully charged 5200. I attribute to poor design and poorly written software. This could be fixed w/ software by notifying the user to charge the headset. Comparing the older models of Voyager series headsets, the older out perform the 5200 in every aspect. After they company was bought out, the quality went out the door with it. I expected the same operational performance as the older voyager headsets and I was wrong to assume that Poly would continue the same quality in the 5200's. 5200's have caused me a great deal of frustration in day to day business. I'm now searching for a different brand all to together. I implore that you take pause before purchasing a Poly 5200 headset; research is your best defense to determine a Bluetooth headset product which best suit your needs.

Excellent Headset - Plan to Replace Every 12-18 Months
Excellent headset, but with issues. I've been using model for about six years. Pros: * Great directional microphone. I work at home with music playing, and it never bleeds through. * Sound quality is very good. I use an after-market foam pad for the part that goes in the ear. * Mute buttons interacts with Teams/Zoom and the USB dongle goes red when muted. * Can pair with both laptop and my phone, which is super useful. Cons: * Plan to replace every 18 months or so. Every one that I've had breaks at the part at the top, between the machinery and the ear/microphone. Just on-and-off wear, but the rubber eventually breaks until it's only held together by the cables inside. * If you're on calls non-stop for four hours, battery gets iffy. But if you can get it on the cradle for five minutes here or there, it'll recoup enough charge to keep going. * Charges from empty to 30-minutes quickly, which matters for marathon troubleshooting calls. That I keep going back and buying it again says that the pros outweigh the cons for me.

Great Hedset - Updated
I have a Plantronics Voyager Pro that I bought 12 years ago, and it is still going strong with 4 hours of battery life. I lost 2 hours of battery capacity over this last year. I decided to upgrade and purchase this Voyager 5200 to work with my desk phone and Skype calls using UC. I love this headset! The sound quality is great, and the volume goes up quite loud, which is nice for those videos with low volume..... I like that I have the ability to change the programming using the phone and desktop app. Overall this was a great purchase. I get between 6 and 7 hours of audio listening. It is also nice that I can control Google Assistant and Play\Pause videos and Audio all from the headset. I do get complaints from people on the other end of a call because they can hear lots of background noise around me if I am in a noisy environment, but in an office environment it works great and cancels out constant sound like fans and such. Update 09-08-2022: I now seem to have issues with this headset. The volume buttons on the phone do not control the headset volume. It just bounces up and down, and I have to use the software slider on my phone to change volume. Pressing the software volume up and down give the same bouncing result for me. I have since reset the phone to defualt, as well as use the headset with other devices, and the results are not great. My old, now 13 years old, Plantronics Voyager headset still works great, although the battery only last 2-3 hours on it. I wish I could buy new old stock of the original PLantronics voyager. They were great! Other issues I have with the 5200 is the sound is choppy and controls do not work to pause, and bookmark correctly. Again, other headsets work fine. The more I use the 5200, the more I dislike it. The sound quality is just not comparible to other headsets. In conclusion, I would not buy this headset uless they release a patch to fix all the issues. There are far better ones out there. I do believe this is software related as the headset seems to get worse every time I update the firmware. Update: 2022-01-18 - Now the microphone has died as well.

A life saver for all-day calls
I’ve had this for a couple months now, it’s been great. The device itself is light and comfortable to wear all day. The speaker outlet sits in your ear, rather than going in it, making it comfortable but not great at blocking noise. I use it almost exclusively at home while WFH, and it’s great for that. In my limited experience outside, it doesn’t fare well in noisy environments. The audio is clear and sounds good for voice calls and I’ve never had a complaint about the mic. The connectivity is great, I’ve never had it drop and when it goes out of range of the dongle it recovers quickly when you return. Pairs and turns on quickly to jump on unexpected calls, I’ve never had it not pair with the USB dongle immediately. BT pairing is as good as you can get for BT, only occasionally requiring futzing in my iOS device. The battery life is around 6 hours, at least that’s why the status says when fully charged and I think I get around that, if not a bit more. It quickly tops up though, for more time. The case is a really nice touch as well, the docking station is convenient and clever. It’s great that it has a battery integrated. Overall I really love the device and feel like it steps up my WFH game i terms of comfort and convenience.

Quality has decreased
I own 2 of these Plantronics Voyager 5200. I have recently had to start using my set so much that I have to cycle through both earpieces when the battery is drained. I keep the charging pack on me at all times with one charging. My first one is just about a year old. This is a comparison between the two. Flexibility: the loop over the ear is much less stiff on the original unit; making it for me, a lot more comfortable. I don't remember having these issues when I first got the original unit, but the new unit my simply need to be broken in some more. It has only been 3 months... Talk Time: 6 hours vs 5 hours. my older unit when full charged tells me that I have 6 hours of talk time; new one only 5 hours. I have not had the time to actually time how much talk time they have but I know each day I will have to change them out at least once if not twice depending on how crazy my day will be. Bluetooth: my older unit has no problems connecting to Bluetooth for my various applications that I cycle through. my newer unit goes bonkers. I wont be able to hear a phone call and when I get that squared away then it wont allow the other end of the line to hear me. I use my phone A LOT! I am constantly traveling. and it is super aggravating to have to turn off my Bluetooth on my phone and then turn it back on then wait for the connection to continue my phone call. Initially I thought it might be the phone. after watching closely I noticed it is only when i have the new ear piece in. Now that I have gone through a bunch of negative let me give some positive. Noise canceling is the SH**! traveling down the highway with the windows down and I cant hear my caller because the wind is so loud yet they hear me crystal clear. The seamless connection between the various equipment that I use (ie. Computer, 2 cellphones) being able to connect to multiple machines at once is great! Fast charging and mobile battery bank that charges a unit in 30 minutes and can charge a unit 3-4 times from dead to full on its only battery life is freaking awesome! Grip. I apparently have weirdly shaped ears. I like how the only time these ear pieces have fallen out was when they were physically knocked off my head. They have not once fallen off due to twisting or turning my head too quickly or anything. They have to be physically pushed off the ear. So that is the full review of the

The good and the bad but still worth every penny
I have had several of these Plantronics headsets over the years. This one is a little different from what I expected. Pros, it fits better than the others, and the sound quality is so much better than the older models. Cons, the battery life is no where close to the older models and the only way to charge it is through the carrying case. Honestly, it's not that big of deal if your traveling because you are going to need it, but it would be nice is there was an option to charge it like the old ones and keep the case charged for when you're on the road. All in all, I love it.

Lo uso da 20 giorni, la mia recensione potrebbe essere prematura. Premetto che uso l'auricolare per il mio lavoro che è basato sull'uso continuativo del telefono Qualità del suono buona. Controllo volume ottimo. Annullamento del disturbo nel 95 % dei casi ottimo. Durata batteria non ha rivali, impressionante.

High audio quality
Excellent product with very good mic audio quality. Voice commands to answer or reject the call are very convenient. Teams set up took me one minute. Connects very quickly. Things that could be better; - range is not as advertised, much shorter depending of course on building's stucture - battery life 6 hrs might be a problem but charging case helps here a lot - noise reduction decreseas audio quality pretty much (e.g. during driving a car with higher speed) - voice alert on battery status is not working after the latest software update. Overall I recommend for daily usage and conference calls.

Business class Headset for those on the move!!
Headset is awesome, but cannot beat jabra in Packing...any ways to the main topic..pair's instantly with the laptop to use Skype and Teams calls are piece of cake. Sound is crystal clear. You can pair two devices. Battery is super good for now based on 3 day use. No clear instruction on how long we should charge etc. Over all ita the best thing to buy!
