I do love how it looks. Plus, getting more than one for the price I paid was wonderful. However, no where in the product specifications, title, or details, was there a warning of the need to have the phone rooted first.I kind of feel silly for buying this product now, as I know enough about Linux/UNIX to know that connecting a USB stick would require a mount (which requires root access). And, Android is just a different distribution of Linux/UNIX. However, knowing all this while making this mistake when comparing myself to the average consumer leads me to believe that this product is, whether intentionally or not, very misleading. Even the packaging, which was very professionally done I may add, didn't provide any form of disclaimer of such. I had to go through a lot of googling to realize my brainless blunder. And, just to point out a key difference between connecting a USB stick and connecting to a PC, one requires a mount, while the other is a tether. The difference is, Android knows how to respond to a tether request as the PC provides signals that enable the Android to be aware of the connection. This does not exist in the case of a USB stick, and Android will not auto-mount.Bottom line, if your phone is an Android and is not ROOTED, this will only be just a fancy key chain.3 stars for this product, not because the product is worthy of anything less than 5 stars, but because the marketing of this product is damaging to its brand. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ So Easy *by N***Y on November 16, 2018* So very happy to find something I can clip in my purse or on my keychain to be able to load pictures on my tablet right away instead of waiting until I get home so I don't lose the little micro card.
