My c5 would shut off if i went beyond 2 mph. I initially thought it was a motor problem but after doing research it turns out it was this LMC5 issue. My steering wheel did not lock therefore i did not need the unlock portion. The part came same day and install was very straightfoward. I watched a video as well as read the instructions which were all the same. Install took about 15 mins, the hardest part was releasing the wires from the pins. Once installed the car started right up and was back to normal. This would have probably cost me thousands had I taken it in for a diagnostic.
