Tramontina Utsava 1.8-Quart Tri-Ply Clad Stainless Steel Kadai with Lid

This is a great pan! I love Indian food and have been looking for a kadai since I've been experimenting with some Indian recipes. I've always liked using stainless steel cookware since it's non-reactive and cleans up well. I made 2 Indian dishes in this pan and was very pleased with how everything turned out. The heat distribution was great. The handles became a little warm, but I always use oven mitts anyway, so it doesn't matter. I debated about which size to buy since it's only my husband and I, but decided on the 4L since it will allow me to make larger batches of food, and I can freeze any leftovers for later. It's the perfect size. Not only does this kadai cook well, but it also looks beautiful on my stovetop. If you're looking for a kadai, I highly recommend this one. I haven't tried any other recipes in this, but I'm sure it can be used for soups as well. It's one of the best cookware purchases I've made. You won't be disappointed.

Best wok I have ever owned! The overall thickness ensures the food doesn't burn. The handle does get hot so have to use mittens. It is perfect for meal-prepping or large family meals. Makes cooking rice, stews, curries a breeze. Fit is perfect. It is stainless steel so not non-stick, but if you let it heat, then add a later of oil, food will not stick. It is easy to clean with a scrub daddy sponge.

I love this Tramontina every day pan. It is very helpful for me cook my daily Indian recipes as well as pasta too. Love it . Will buy 2 more. Dishwasher safe. Heat distribution is even. We can touch the lid handle while cooking. Handles of the pan are heat, so use mitt. Average weight, easy to handle. Perfect size for the family of four.

This is a 3-ply pan not 5-ply, but it is still very sturdy, heats evenly, and easy to clean. I used a small amount of Bar Keepers Friend to clean. Pot comes with a lid which is great. Inside of pot are measurements in terms of quart volume capacity. My first dish in this pot was a large meatball and marinara sauce recipe. Used 2 pounds of meat (1 lb beef and 1 lb pork). Seared the meatballs on all sides in a little olive oil, then removed them from pot and made the marinara sauce. I then returned the meatballs to the pot to continue cooking in the sauce. Absolutely delicious!

Absolutely love it! Product is heavy great quality. I bought the 1.8qt kadai for Indian cooking and it’s perfect for my needs. I hope they add more items for Indian cooking as shipping from India is a big deal these days. Haven’t cooked in it yet, will update after I cook and wash. I guess I’m gonna order the next sizes too.

I wanted a pan made in the US. From the information I researched, Tramontina makes their products in the US, or at least NOT IN CHINA. When this pan arrived, it is the perfect size and shape that I wanted, but guess where it is made...effing CHINA. SO VERY DISAPPOINTED AND ANGRY.

An absolute workhorse in the kitchen. The tri-ply clad construction provides incredibly even heat distribution with no hot spots. It has a beautiful, heavy-duty feel, looks brilliant, and cleans up effortlessly. Worth every penny. Must for every household.

Really Happy with the purchase. It's a perfect Kadhai for 3-5 portions. It says 4 quarts, but marked upto 3 quart and 3 liters inside the kadhai. Beautiful looking riveted handles and Build quality. Perfect for Indian cooking. Just love it.

got the 2.75qrt one. very sturdy and quality pot for stir fry. meat and egg get stick but with a bit of water they easily come off. the pot though is a bit shallow, would prefer it deeper for easy stir frying. I didn't know the upper and bottom diameter of the pot. I highly suggest the seller post the info, including depth for all its products. I find it a bit small for stir frying. but the pot is nice and solid. will think of buying a large size in the future. One year later Used it a year so far, stir frying or soup making, I started to notice tiny cracks at the bottom that are possibly revealing the underlying layer. If it's true, the quality of this pot is not good.
