Is it visible under the nursing scrubs? thanks

I would guess that unless your nursing scrubs are very roomy, then yes it would be visible. I could not even wear it under normal pants - too bulky. Had to wear it over the pants. But most importantly, I returned mine, as I found it to be totally ineffective.

Can this get wet in a shower?

It would stand up in the shower ok, it but it has a foam under the straps so after the shower it would have to hang up and dry. Or it would get cold on the knee joint while wet.

I unconsciously hyperextend my knees while walking and need to prevent my legs from going too straight-will this help? Does it lock?

These dials prevent the movement of the hinge beyond this range, therefore you may find it useful for your hyperextension.
