Brilliant, easy to install and works really well.
This is a great piece of kit at a decent price.I was sick of my wall themostat clicking on and off througout the night, i know it's weird but the sound of it just annoyed me.There are some great videos on youtube on how to install this and there are a couple of ways on how to wire it in to the boiler side. I chose to use a new 3 core from the receiver straight into the boiler PCB after disconnecting the wall thermostat connections on the PCB. Explanation below. The themostat is already paired up straight from the box but it's pretty easy to pair it up if it isn't. Its great just having the themostat in any room you want.Worcester Boch Greenstar 2000 - 3 core cable (Live, Neutral, Earth) N.B. the receiver doesn't need to be earthed so i used the Earth wire as the signal wire.Turn Boiler off before you start and remove anything wired into LR LS NS on the boiler PCB.Receiver - Live to L - Neutral to N, then put a small wire link between Live and 1, then Earth (signal wire) to number 2 (which is the switch)Boiler PCB - Live to LS - Neutral to NS and Earth (which is your signal wire) to LR.Thats it, turn boiler back on which gives the receiver power, make sure thermo and receiver is paired and away you go.You can mark the Earth wire with a permenant marker for anyone looking at it after to show it's not an Earth wire.

Spot on
Easy to set up, and easy to use. The best budget wireless thermostat there is.

Does the job well
Has lots of features which other products don't. Easy to set up once you read the manual a few times. Don't need to add any wiring it sends signals by radio. Time set up is automatic also clock's forward. We'll pleased with this product.Good value for money.

Not bad.
Have been using this thermostat for a few years now.Reasonably easy to setup and use, but there's a bit of reading to work out what all the modes and options are. There is a mode whereby the thermostat will be efficient by starting/stopping heating earlier than a programmed temperature change which appears on occasion to not be doing what one would expect, but generally it behaves itself. Of course it's very hard to know if/how much energy is being saved by this particular thermostat in comparison to any other ones.In conclusion, it works and so far I've been happy with it.

heating engineer review
As a heating engineer, I always keep a few thermostats in my van and have been using ESI for a few years now. First of all, it’s budget-friendly and wireless, making it an excellent choice for installing new boilers, as ESI thermostats are programmable and compliant with Boiler Plus regulations. Secondly, they are a great replacement for any faulty wireless thermostat, thanks to their standard backplate for the receiver. The price on Amazon was also spot on, matching that of my local merchant where I usually buy other parts, but with the added convenience of doorstep delivery. Additionally, having a stand and a clear temperature display makes it even more convenient to use.

Does exactly what its supposed to do.
As a plumber of old, I've always used what is deemed to be the best, looking through Amazon's option for a RFT saw the many great reviews for this plus 3 yr warrant, at an amazing price, thought why not try it (other plumbers had written great reviews to). Arrived next day,Installation made so easy by the marking up of the Open Therm terminals, didn't need instructions, literally a 15 minute swap over, pop batteries into the controller, 30 seconds later, boiler popping away like a good one. Easy to use in manual mode, set up a few programmed days when at work, quick flick to auto and all good.Good looking and on neat stand, even automatically picks up date and time. What more to say than, does exactly what it should for 1/2 the price of others. Long term will see, but 3+ years out of it, at the price beats many others.
