I started taking SAMe and my jaundice went away and I am feeling so much better! Anyone with liver function problems, this helps. I am taking 3-4 tablets per day as recommended by my Dr. Just remember to start out taking one, then two and then increasing so your body can get used to it.If it works for you, BUY A LOT! They run out all the time. I guess it is popular. But this is frustrating, as I have been taking this brand for years!Okay people with liver problems, I have been taking this 5 years with 1000mg milk thistle. Last year my liver tests were normal. It is a miracle! I have taken other brands for my depression but the other brands caused me to be more severely depressed and right away with the taking. This is the only one that worked for me and worked well. They have standardized ingredients and are very pure if you look them up on-line and maybe this is the reason I don't have severe problems. Who knows? I see they are here today on Amazon. Thank you for making this product.Update: As an aside, when I first took SAM-e 20 years ago and not this one, I started out cutting the pill and letting it sit in the refrigerator. They would then be like a glob of honey. I teased out ½ a “pinhead” size piece and that is what I took. It was amazing. Later on that brand was discontinued. When I tried another brand I got way worse depression fast. It was not until I found this one many years later after have given up, that I made headway. I do NOT recommend cutting them since they are enteric coated for a reason and may cause unforeseen problems if consumed cut. I can report it seems to me to work quickly - within two days - lifting my mood and reducing anxiety and appears to continue to work with no ill effects 18 months later.
