The problem with many S-hooks is that they are just too thin, and in those cases, generally attached to thin metal mounting plates. Fortunately, THESE S-hooks from MIKRUI are a full 6mm thick, and the mounting plate with four hardware holes is a substantial 0.08 inches thick. When you lift the hook and place a rake or broom in between the plate and hook, the camber mechanism securely holds your tool with just gravity. There is a tiny curve at the end of the s-hook to serve as a safety catch. It’s pretty ingenious, really, and very effective. These hooks come individually packaged, and each hook’s screws and anchors are in separate bags, all packed in a perfectly-sized box. This is important if you intend to store the hooks for a while, as it keeps everything neat and tidy. The mounting plate can also be attached in a horizontal orientation on the wall, allowing it to serve as a hanging hook. Using the included hardware and anchors, just mark the plate holes on the wall in your chosen orientation, drill with a 5/16” drill bit, insert the anchors, and mount the plate with the screws. Easy peasy … and recommended. ✅

I was hoping for a hook that would grip the straight handle or shaft of a tool like a shovel, broom, rake, or pole pruning shears with enough friction to hold the tool off the ground, but the first tool I tried to use it with, a relatively lightweight pole light bulb changer, and the pole kept slipping through the hook until it reached the floor. To be fair, the pole of this tool has a very smooth metal surface, but so do many other tools I would like to hang on it that are much heavier. If you don't mind the tools standing on the ground with the hook used to keep them from falling over or maybe if you want to store tools like a shovel or broom upside down such that the business end of the tool will rest on the hook and keep the handle off the ground, then these hooks do seem good for that and are very sturdy otherwise.

First- these work. I haven't hung a handle based tool off of them yet that stressed it. Second- I don't know what it is about these type things that come with hardware (screws/etc) that they always are crap. The phillips heads weren't even lined up. Not sure what forge the steel came from, but they need to put the fires out...or let them burn....the forge down. As long as you use your own hardware, these are great.

you get 4 hooks, and enough hardware to mount in wood or drywall two times. Appreciate the extra hardware. Metal structure with thick plastic coating to protect tool. hook pivots freely. Can be mounted either way vertically, it is 100% symmetric. Screws are 1.5” long phillips flatbeds, that sit flush with the face of the bracket. the bracket has a second set of larger holes in case you want to go bigger on hardware. I mounted one to a wooden bracket along my garage wall using the supplied screws, and hung a maul weighing at least 5 pounds on it. No problem, tool was gel securely to the wall by its own weight. Excellent option to hang long tools of many types. Solid recommendation.
