I use these as throat lozenges not as candy. I was introduced to the original syrup years ago when I had a cough that lasted for several days. My supervisor at that time was from Beijing and she brought in a bottle of the syrup for me. It worked like magic and I haven't been without it since. I keep a tin of these lozenges in my purse for emergencies when something hits the wrong spot in the back of my throat causing a coughing spell. They do the trick. **Q: Do they taste like the syrup? How many pieces are in the container?** A: The taste mildly delicious. Approx 20 in a container. **Q: How many come in the tin?** A: 22 to 23 per tin. And they are wonderful.
