The GLM20 measures from the back of the unit so it does calculate the device itself. If you have further questions please feel free to contact our Bosch Customer Service Representatives at 1-877-BOSCH-99 (1-877-267-2499) **Q: Does it measure in meters/centimeters.** A: Thank you for your question. The GLM20 will measure in feet and inches, inches only and meters, it does not measure in centimeters. If you have further questions please feel free to contact our Bosch Customer Service Representatives at 1-877-BOSCH-99 (1-877-267-2499) **Q: The specs say indirect. Will it calculate the third leg of a triangle after measuring the first two legs?** A: Thank you for your question. The GLM20 does not have an indirect measuring feature. The GLM35 does, indirect measurement is the technique of using similar figures and proportions to find a measure. If you have further questions please feel free to contact our Bosch Customer Service Representatives at 1-877-BOSCH-99 (1-877-267-2499). **Q: Mide en metros también?** A: Gracias por la consulta Sí, puede cambiar la unidad de medida de su GLM 20 apagándolo y presionando el botón de encendido / apagado durante unos segundos. I bought it when we purchased a new house and needed to measure rooms before moving in to figure out furniture placement. It worked extremely well for that. You really can’t rely fully on listing measurements, and this made it quick and easy to get accurate numbers without having to move around the previous owner’s furniture. That alone made a big difference. It saved time and also avoided that awkward feeling of trying to shift things around just to measure. The device itself is compact and very easy to figure out. The controls are straightforward, and it works quickly once you get started. I’ve found myself using it regularly for different projects because it’s so convenient. It definitely outperforms a traditional tape measure in many situations, especially when measuring longer distances or full rooms. That said, it doesn’t completely replace a tape measure. There are still times where you need a straight edge or more hands-on measuring for certain tasks. What I like: Fast and accurate for measuring rooms and larger spaces Easy to use and quick to learn Compact and convenient to keep handy Helpful when measuring around furniture or obstacles Saves time compared to traditional methods Things to be aware of: Doesn’t replace a tape measure for every task Overall: A great tool to have, especially for home projects or planning layouts. It makes measuring faster, easier and more accurate in many situations, and has been a really useful addition to my toolbox. ## Frequently Bought Together - BOSCH GLM100-23 100 Ft Blaze Laser Distance Measure, Includes 2 AA Batteries - CaseSack Case for BOSCH GLM100-23 100ft Laser Measure with Backlit Display - BOSCH GLL50-20 50 Ft Self-Leveling Cross-Line Laser, Includes Integrated Magnetic Mount & 2 AA Batteries --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.in/products/668479822-glm100-23-100ft-laser-measure-with-backlit-display](https://www.desertcart.in/products/668479822-glm100-23-100ft-laser-measure-with-backlit-display) --- *Product available on Desertcart India* *Store origin: IN* *Last updated: 2026-10-08*
