Description says it all. This feeder is great for my African Dwarf Frog. I bought this so I can use it when I go on vacation. I had to adjust the portion to be less than it pours by blocking the opening. But now it works perfect. It serves 6 to 7 pellets per rotaion. I have it on 24 hour mode.

I'm going to be gone for about a week and I needed to make sure my fish get fed of course. I got the 60 ml automatic feeder for my little 5-gallon tank (3 glowlight tetras and 2 neon tetras), and the bigger 100/200 ml feeder for my 20-gallon tank (10 black skirt tetras and 2 corys). The smallest notch on the 60 ml feeder (that isn't closed) feeds way too much for 5 tiny fish. I've tried putting it partway between fully closed and the first notch, but I don't think I succeeded as it still feeds too much. This of course isn't ideal when I'm not going to be home to do water changes. The 100/200 ml feeder has much smaller increments and it's easy to get the right amount. It seems like it's best to also make sure to put the batteries in at exactly the time you want it to feed them, and then push the manual feeding button (on the 60 ml feeder) or the timer button (on the 100/200 ml feeder) right away. Nothing in the manuals tell you how to get these to feed at a specific time, but I did this last night (with it set to 12 hour) and both feeders fed them this morning at exactly the same time as the night before. I'm now going to switch the 60 ml feeder to 24 hour so they don't end up totally overloaded. I couldn't find anything anywhere that said how big of a feeder capacity you need for any specific tank size or amount of time, but the 60 ml size appears to be more than enough for my little 5 gallon tank. I don't think it would be quite big enough for the voracious little eaters in my 20 gallon tank, so I'm glad I went with a bigger size for them (the 100 ml size on that one appears to be plenty big). These feeders are very easy to clamp on the side of the aquarium, either rimless or with a decent sized plastic rim. I can't then put the lids on all the way, which is annoying for the little tank, but since I don't have any real escape artists in there I'm not too worried.

Very nice fish feeder and easy to use

Very disappointed with this fish feeder. I bought it specifically so I could rely on it while I was away, but I ended up not trusting it enough to use. The feeding schedule was inconsistent, and the amount of food it dispensed wasn't reliable. A fish feeder needs to do one simple job consistently, especially when you're depending on it while you're gone. Unfortunately, this one didn't give me that confidence. My fish were withut food for over 4 days. I wouldn't recommend it for anyone who needs a dependable feeder for a vacation or extended time away.

The feeder worked great, the only problem is it was too big for the tank I have. I have a two gallon tank with only one Beta and even on the lowest setting, it was putting out way to much food, so I couldn't use it and never sent it back. It also didn't fit on my tank. So unless you have a bigger tank this isn't the feeder for you, but the timer was on time cause I forgot to take the battery out and even though it was just laying up there, it kept spinning around to release the food. So the feeding time worked. I wasn't able to attach it to my little tank so i can't speak to its sturdiness.

The feeder itself works just fine. Very simple. The first setting to dispense fish food does not work on pellets, only flakes. The second setting distributes too many pellets for the 1 fish that I was looking to feed.

I always use this feeder for traveling. It’s easy and works long with regular batteries. I like how I can adjust the amount of food and timed for either 12h or 24h. A must have for busy aquarium keepers.

Can’t regulate well the amount of food it dispenses. The small amount is way to much for an aquarium with a beta fish

DON'T BUY - Not reliable - garbage - wish I could return the two I bought. This devise worked at first but then does not reliably rotate ever 24hrs as it is supposed to. The adjustable orifice has very crude stepped increments that are quite difficult and do not assuredly adjust to delivery food to the degree of approximate precision that I like. It's either too much or too little.

I don't know if it's fair of me to review this item because it wouldn't even fit on my tank so I had to send it back. I'm looking for something very low profile that Spence is very close to the glass because that's all the space I have at the back of my tank before the lid. It would fit into my space. So I never used it. Just packaged it back up. I don't know what to say about it.

Works great
