I want to know if this unit needs batteries. Where is the rechargeable attachment? If it is rechargeable, than it does not need batteries.

There are two different models of this unit. One is rechargeable and comes with the recharger attachment. The other model requires batteries but they do not last very long so by all means get the rechargeable unit. You might try the Stealth unit, I much prefer it and it is also rechargeable. Hope this helps.
