I think this wiper fluid does a great job of cleaning mild levels of buildup, I think it costs well for the purposes of helping with water beading, and the jug fills up my entire washer reservoir when it’s empty (jeep grand Cherokee for reference). So what are the downsides? Mostly the price relative to how often you might use it. If you garage your car and really only use this in the event that some crud flies up on your windshield or to coat it right before some rain then you’re probably going to get your moneys worth. However if you park your car outside and regularly come out to bird droppings or pollen buildup and you solve that by hard squeezing your washer fluid out then this is gonna disappear quickly and you’re gonna feel money is wasted. So if you’re in that first category then buy this. If you’re in that second category then spend half as much or less on the normal stuff. This is an all season product that I have used in Northern Virgina for 17 years. The fluid not only cleans the windshield bur when the venicle is left outside and the depth of snow on the windshield in not more than 3 incher in depth it can be used to remove the snow even is temperature below 20 degrees F. It can be used on the highway when a snow storm in blowing. I have lived in Northern Virginia and in Maryland and have used this Rain-X product and am very pleased with its performance. I think the price in quite reasionable. I always start looking for it May when winter products do on sale and have found it priced in the neighborhood if $40.00.
