Are these whole onion slices or have they been ground up and extruded into faux onion crisps?

Do they stay fresh for a while, since it is such a large bag?

We buy these or the French's CRISPY FRIED onions which ever is cheaper at the time and both in the 24 ounce bags and FREEZE them. As soon as they arrive they go right into the freezer. We keep a can that has a lid that used to hold the French's fried rings but only about 8 ounces I think it was. We refill that can that is also kept in the freezer drawer of the house fridge. That way we snack out of the can in the house and also have plenty the way we use them for the occasional casserole or topping for crunch on sandwiches or the like or to the side of a sandwich too or soup add. Anyway They freeze very well and they last will into a year maybe two this way. Though we enjoy them we don't eat a lot and a bag this size in our house can last upwards of a year I think the last lasted over 2 years. Couldn't find it at the super market 100 miles from our home for decent shopping so turned to Amazon. YEAH they have it. We also do not mind if they come a bit broken up as we aren't trying to impress any guests with french fried whole onion rings these really are made to be used in dishes etc or to add some crunch as a side addition. Excellent product, my favorite.

I am and have been disabled for years. I haven't been able to cook or bake for years. That is changing. It used to be a challenge for me to stand for longer than 2 minutes. Now I'm able to clean house a bit, stand for about half an hour, etc. I have begun stocking my kitchen with items I can use to make casseroles and dump cakes, etc. I was so excited to find Frenches Fried Onions on Amazon. I used to use them as a topping in several dishes. They smell so good and taste even better. They have that freshness I remember. They are so easy to add to many dishes, mixed in for added flavor or on the top for an added crunch. The quality can't be beat; I would never buy another brand, and the value is still as good as it ever was. I always use the whole can per dish, so I try to keep a few on hand so I don't run out. If you have used these before, you should.

These are always fresh and taste so good

Who doesn't love these. I keep them on hand and use them in so many recipes. You know you have a can full of crisp onions as soon as you open the bag or can.The crunch always indicates the freshness. And I also use them to put in green bean casserole. Great flavor and always fresh.

These are good as stand alone snacks. They pair well in casserole . not heavy on grease. Very crunchy so a great salad topping.
