great eliptical
I bought this s a gift to myself with my HSA dollars from my work. It glides smoothly. Its quiet and doesnt disturb anyone around you. It offers a great work out. I am very happy with this eliptical. I looked at all of them for a long time before I choose this one. It was a great quality machine for the price. It came quickly. My husband helped me put it together and it didnt take very long. Im very happy with this and I would buy it again.

Fast Shipping, Assembly Issue, Good Performance.
It arrived 4 days before the earliest estimated arrival date. Upon arrival, the box had a triangular hole punched in one side about 7 inches across. I carefully looked in through the hole and could not see any damage to the contents, so I decided to unbox and assemble the machine. The first assembly step I took was to attach the handlebar post to the front of the bottom section of the machine. (Note: The online assembly videos on the Merach website show that the handlebar post comes pre-attached to the bottom section via a hinge. These pieces were not hinged together on the machine I received; they were 2 unattached pieces.) Incredibly, this step alone took nearly 2 hours because the 4 holes in the handlebar post mounting plate did not line up properly with the mounting plate holes of the bottom section. I could get a couple of bolts loosely screwed in, but the others would be slightly out of alignment. This caused the remaining bolts to begin cross threading when I tried to screw them in. When I noticed this, I didn't force them. I tried multiple ways of twisting the handlebar post so that these holes would line up better. Eventually, I (with my wife's help) was able to get the remaining bolts to screw in properly. Since we intended to have this machine upstairs, this was the only assembly step I did downstairs because doing the rest would have made the machine heavier and more awkward to move. After getting the partially assembled machine upstairs, the rest of the assembly was simple and uneventful. Limited usage so far, but it seems to perform quite well. I was tempted to only give 3 stars due to the shipping box damage and very annoying assembly issue, but in the spirit of "all's well that ends well," I decided on 4 stars.

Excellent machine for this pricepoint
Excellent machine for this pricepoint. I use at level 11 or 12 and it gives a great workout in short time on work breaks. Very quiet, very simple to use and setup. As for the foot pads, they're big enough so you can adjust your footing how you like but basically flat-ground stepping, so should be as natural as walking. The larger machine has heavier flywheel so momentum would be a bit better but this size with 16 1/2 inch stride is better than the majority of machine offerings. Would recommend.

Merach Elliptical E27
This is my 3rd elliptical in 15+ years. I bought this to replace my last elliptical. So far so good. It seems very sturdy, with the size being a bonus as it doesn't take up much room. I like that there is a 15-pound flywheel. The resistance is wired, I wouldn't say magnetic. The shelf that holds my phone with its case is a good size, that is a relief. Plus, the monitor comes with batteries, so it is battery-operated; this is not an issue. I was specifically looking for the distance to be in miles, and it is. I will say compared to my last one, the monitor states my distance is further, and my speed is faster-who knows? I am going by the time from before, for now. My last Gold's Gym Stride Trainer 350i had a stride of 14in. and would say this 16.5 in. stride is less than my 14 in., so I don't know if it correct as the stride seems smaller, but it is smooth. The 'pedals' are also up higher off the floor compared to my last two. Nonetheless, I took a few days to 'warm' up with the difference and am used to it. It helps with my mobility, is easy to use and for the money, I am very happy. I just hope it lasts.

Tension wire was not connected.
Nowhere in the instructions did id tell us to check the tension wires as we were assembling the machine. It was supposed to come already assembled. So after getting the thing all put together, we couldnโt adjust the difficulty levels. Every range (0-16) was exactly the same! I tried calling the customer support number several times and was sent directly to voice mail. We had to go to YouTube and look for videos to tell us what could be wrong. We wound up having to disassemble part of the machine, use every bit of strength we had, and pull the wiring tight and get it through the knob. We were cautioned if we pulled too tight, we would break the tension wires!!! After numerous attempts, we were able to get it attached and reassembled. Thankfully, it works well now. The only other complaint would be that the foot peddles seem to be angled too forward and our feet slide to the top and cause soreness as we workout.
