Review: Do not run your drill with the hammer function on..... - First and foremost, Some of the folks here need to know that although this drill comes with an sds hammer drill adapter, you DO NOT drill the holes with your drill on hammer mode. Your drill should have a switch to turn off the hammer function... you will destroy this, or any other diamond bit if you use it while in hammer mode. Most of the failures shown in these reviews are due to the bit not being used correctly. I bought this 1 1/2" bit for drilling through concrete block walls to run a 3/4" water line through a building. We did all the layout, and waited for the bit to arrive. we had 8 holes to drill. Finished all 8 holes in about 90 minutes, all working off a step ladder. Bit works well, and cuts nice with no water added. It was worth every dime. I would recommend to anyone for block walls.

I cored out a big stone in my yard to make a splitting line. Worked great. Use water to cool the bit and assist in cutting during use. Great for the price point. Don't expect to use this commercially; it's not commercial grade. It did what I needed it to do. Made come cool marshmallow looking nugs and a rolling pin in the process as a bonus.
