A brilliant addition to any home or workshop, no more dust, clean floors and a happy wife!
I have had this shop vac for 5 months now and I do not know how I managed without it. It is a brilliant piece of kit! We are renovating the house and my wife was constantly complaining about the dust when I was sanding areas I had filled or plastered over. I said I would look into buying a shop vac to keep the dust down. After spending a lot of time looking at reviews, I ordered a different make from Amazon which was a mistake because it came with a European plug and socket for the power tool so I sent it back. I ended up buying this machine as I wanted one that would power the sander and turn on and off as I used it. Also it was a fair bit cheaper than the first one. Well, I think I was very lucky to have made that mistake, because this vac is brilliant. I have used it and used it for so many different things and it is a great vacuum. It has a long power cord, and a long hose so there is not much set up involved. The tools are fine. I have had no issues with things breaking or coming off during use. I have stood on the hose many times by mistake without problems (I weigh 110kg). It generates loads of suction and can be set up to blow as well. I used it to unblock a sink! I use it all the time whilst sanding, I connect the hose to the sander using the adapter that is supplied with the unit, luckily it fits my sander, you may have to fashion something up yourself if it does not fit yours as there are so many different sizes! The sander then plugs into the vacuum, the socket at the front. The on/off switch is set to position 2 and away you go. What a difference it makes to the dust generation! Virtually no dust can be seen whilst it is in use, my lungs have been singing songs of joy since I got this hoover! Turn on the sander and the hoover turns on with it, turn the sander off and the hoover turns off, brilliant! My workshop has never looked so clean and it is a real pleasure to watch the vac picking up the sawdust and metal shavings that are generated during the day. The wheels make moving the vac around effortless and emptying the hoover is very easy with the clips on the drum, so much so that I have to keep checking that the clips are on after I replace the drum as they push into place with very little effort. Changing from dust extraction to hoover can be a little difficult as the adapters are awkward to remove and replace. This is only a minor issue and is only when swapping from the normal hose adapter to the dust extractor adapter for the sander and other equipment. A fair bit of force is needed to uncouple them. I have used this hoover with a dust bag from day one. I wanted a bagless hoover, and this hoover can be used as bagless, but I fitted the bag that came with it from day one. It took so long to fill I bought some more and decided to stick with bags as they were pretty cheap from Maplins. I am very happy with this vacuum, it is well made, performs brilliantly and has made a major difference to the way I carry out tasks around the home and workshop. If you are thinking about buying one of these machines, do not hesitate!

Good vacum, is very large but still light enough to pull around. Worth the money. Husband says it is also very good for cleaning car. Only thing is had to buy a better attachment for floors!

Ok, with some design flaws
It's a OK dust extractor, ok value for the money. A very negative aspect is that this extractor is not anti static. The hose, the case, absolutely everything acts like a dust magnet. You can't even just wipe it off, you need to shower it off with water. Also very negative is the use of power tools with the provided socket. If you turn off your power tool, the extractor will go off instantly and will not run for another few seconds. Also the extraction engine is dependent of how much watt/power/energy your tool uses, this means if you use for example a small/low powered sander or a circular/plunge saw on lower speed the extractor will be also on low speed! This might be useful in some situations but I would prefer it on maximum extraction or a manual regulation. If you turn the extractor into manual mode the power tool socket will not work anymore. The hose and pipes etc are also not sooo good, but it's ok. Update: To filter out fine dust (sanding/cement etc) I recommend the Numatic Hepa Flo NVM-3AH dust bags (they fit very well). A pack of 10 cost around ยฃ10-15. Update: The basket, where you put and screw on the wet/dray filter cartridge started to fall off. this basket is just clipped in instead of screwed in. This means the basket and filter is just falling off during operation. I just glued it on and it working now (let's see for how long)

good quality, suction and blow v/g. cord length and hose length very good The facilitys, re auto tool switch on excellent. Mobility v/g wheels look to last well. Instruction booklet, I suggest a rewrite! Tools , Ive had better with an cheap(ยฃ25) bagless cleaner ,from which I used the floor tool , with an adapter I made to fit the Nilfisk hose which it selfe is a vg design,( floor tool swivel ,leaked dust , so binned it )There was another bell shaped tool which fitted nothing either on the vacuum or any of my power tools, !!!!? The very expensive bags Im sure Ill find some thing else (ยฃ10 for 5, I don't think so) However this is meant for my home workshop/garage and dispite minor things , Its worth 5 star.Ill try its wet side another day

for a workshop vaccumm this is a mager design flaw from one of the best vacuum manufactures in the business
shame the basic principle of small to large in the air flow of the suction tubes is ignored so the tubes keep blocking with anything other than dust.... for a workshop vaccumm this is a mager design flaw from one of the best vacuum manufactures in the business.
