Apple LED Cinema Display

works great but with a push ...
I bought this originally a few months ago but had trouble because it seemed that the adapter made tenuous contact so that bumping it disrupted the display. I mentioned this and their customer support very quickly sent me out a replacement. Much to my chagrin, the problem was "user error". Unlike other USB-C plugs on my 2017 Mac Book Pro, this one needs a little extra shove - you'll hear a click as seats into the slot. You can tell because the sleeve is not flush against the outside of the port. Other than that, this is working great and I'm happy with my purchase. (A big 5 stars to Amiroko customer support)

Did not work when plugged in for the first time
This is the second USB-C to mini DP adapter I bought from Amazon. Like the first one, it did not work when it was plugged in for the first time. It felt like the adapter was not well designed or made when plugging in. The fit was awkward as you can feel it when inserting the plug. Very dissatisfied with the purchase. Waste of time. It will be returned.

This did not work at all (see update)
(Update: The unit I received did not work, but the company went above and beyond to fix the problem and get me a replacement.) This did not work at all. Sadly I bought this to run an external monitor at a presentation I was doing in another country and I made the big mistake of not testing it before I left on the trip.

Works with older Apple Cinema
I just connect my MacBook Pro to an Apple Cinema display 27" with mini DisplayPort. It works well. But it will not work with another Thunderbolt 2 display even though they look the same. So if your display with mini display port, just buy it.

Does no work with Mini M2 Pro and Cinema Display
I bought several of these dongles to make sure at least one would work with my setup. I could not get this one to work with my new Mac Mini with M2 Pro processor and my old Apple Cinema Display. I did however get it to work with a similar dongle called "Jasput USB C to Mini DisplayPort Adapter,USB Type-C to Mini Displayport Dongle Adapter." I'm sure it's a fine product and it appears well made, it's just incompatible.

Works great but make sure you know what you need for your equipment
Bought this to connect my 2018 MacBook Pro to my Mac monitor and it worked perfectly, plug and play cannot get much easier! Make sure your equipment uses a mini display port. I bought the thunderbolt to usb-c adapter first and needless to say that was a fail! After scratching my head for a while I figured it out, ordered this bad boy, and when it came (a day early by the way) plugged it in to my equipment and BAM!
