WORKS for “super bug” type skin infections
Honestly, I was a bit worried because I tend to only like products with lots of reviews, but after one day of trying this, I’ve been BLOWN away. I’ve had mrsa infections around my body and there were small sores leaking on my scalp, thigh and back and the instructions on the bottle made it seem like the gel had to be on the wound 24/7. But it’s really not, the first day, I went outside, stripped down to my underwear to expose the sores all over my body, I “liberally” applied the gel on the open sores and waited for them to get absorbed. I was a bit worried that it the wound wasn’t “covered” 24/7 that it wouldn’t heal but it’s actually not a big deal. My sores are small and all over so it’s a bit difficult to use gauze pads and tape them on the parts of my body that move a lot and experience lots of friction like my hips, back and under thigh. But I’m super glad it all worked out, my first day I applied the gel outside to let it absorb and it dried up super quickly, it also made the sores less “leaky” once the gel dried. Although the smell was strong, I made sure to take a shower and clean myself to make sure the gel was easily absorbed. The smell is kind of strong and heavy, but once you’ve spent months of stubborn open skin wounds, ALL you want is relieve and healing. So the smell was nothing compared to what I had to experience with my skin infection. And I also went theough multiple rounds of antibiotics before I started this gel, the antibiotics would either not help or help a little before the infection would spread again. So I decided to rely on my instincts and search for natural products that didn’t have problems with “super bugs” So far, it’s been one day, and the healing is astonishing. I’m already seeing NEW skin forming, I feel so relieved after applying the gel knowing that my skin has a more alkaline environment in which the infection will have a tougher time surviving on my skin and spreading. The pros are that it works SUPER facts, I was surprised with the results as it said on the bottle, dries super fast so that I don’t have to worry about keeping it on my body, covering it with a gauze and worrying about staining. The smell is a bit on the strong side but it’s COMPLETELY worth it, seriously man, after months of stubborn skin infections that antibiotics rarely helped and you just spending a few days smelling like bleach and probably like feet(just what this gel smells like for me but it will probably smell different for you). 2-3 days max, oh god it’s 100% worth it, having a bottle you can always rely on right in your fingertips ready to use at home rather than wait for your doctors appointment and dealing with the chances of having those “super bugs” that make you have to go back and forth from the doctor. Just take Spencer’s gel seriously, I’m thankful I went with my gut and took this stuff. If you’re still wondering if this works TAKE IT, the gel lasts. Liquids in bottles run out quickly, but this gel stuff, you use all of it respurceful so it lasts a long time. I use the gel tk cover like my whole body and its probably lasted a week, im amazed everyday at the healing. It’s so much faster than antibiotics, it kicked in the next day. Might be different for you though but im sure it’ll work. I’ve also taken spencers gel with some other stuff too, I’ve taken colloidal silver orally (10 ppm) but Im taking 500 ppm for the stronger effects and testing it on my wounds also, having it circulate around my body to speed up the healing process. The gel is defenitely working, one thing i’ve noticed is that the wounds that are more exposed heal faster wheread the ones that are covered with a scab take a bit longer, maybe because the gel takes time to penatrate through that scab. So I usually take a shower, and then apply the gel when the scabs on the infecrion are washes away. I’m kind of crying right now because i’ve tries countless natural products and am soo thankful for one that worms now, my skin is COMING BACK!!! I feel so blessed, Finally i can relax and not be stressed, worried and anxious about my skin. Overall sarisfied, will defenitelt buy the bigger bottle. Take care ;)

WHAT IS THIS VOODOO? It works!
I am on my 11th day of struggling with uticaria otherwise unspecified -- meaning I have a rash that turned into raging hives and I have no idea how or where I got this problem. I have cried and scratched and shredded my skin. I've seen a dermatologist twice, I'm on prednisone and a prescription antihistamine AND a topical steroid ointment. All of the above plus 6 or more zyrtec a day (which obviously I do not advise anyone else to do) was not even touching how itchy this rash was/is. I ordered this product (Spencer's Gel) for overnight delivery out of pure desperation after another sleepless night and clawing at my skin until it bled and I cried. This is the ONLY thing that literally worked on contact. Even cortisone cream didn't do that, nor sulfur ointment, nor calamine lotion or diaper rash ointment or cornstarch. Spencer's Gel literally soothed my raging rash and hives instantly. I am dumbfounded. I stopped everything I was doing to write this review. I'm still under a doctor's care and we will get the results of a skin biopsy sometime this week. But at least in the meantime I can finally get back to the business of life without everything being about this awful rash. Updated 6/10/2026: As unbelievable as it is, I was foolish enough to get my second shingles shot about a week after my original rash began to disappear. I briefly hesitated in the doctor's office and then decided to just get the shot and oh, what a huge mistake that was. Big HUGE mistake. The next day a familiar tingling began to light up previously affected areas, especially my ankles, lower legs, the tops of my feet and the backs of my hands. It was a different rash, I could tell, but it was no less itchy than the first one. I was in disbelief. And even the original Spencer's gel did not relieve the unbearable and near-constant itching. So I took a chance and ordered a bottle of the Spencer's Gel Max Strength and thankfully it helped. I was still woken up once per night with unbearable itching and I scratched myself into a bloody oblivion all over again. Ugh. It's been a week since that happened and with the help of the Max gel and copious amounts of Amazon brand allegra, it's finally started to calm down again. It's drying up and I can sleep through the night. What a disaster this has been, but I'm incredibly grateful this product exists and I have recommended it to everyone I know.

Magic miracle skin clearing product!!
Ive been dealing with my legs, back, and upper arms getting sebum bumps, folliculitis, cysts, & acne. Ive only used this for one day and i am blown away by how effective this product works. Ive tried drawing salves, drying solutions, natural methods, over the counter product, never getting relief from the painful, itchy bumps.... other products claim to increase heal time but none did. Spencer's Gel, feels like a magic potion bc of how amazing this stuff works. No sticky feel. No greasy mess. No staining clothes or bedding. My legs and skin feel so incredibly soft and smooth, I suppose its helping my body hold moisture better to make my skin so silky, idk. I took pictures today and will over the next few days, then come back and post the results. I wish I wouldve taken a picture before starting Spencer's gel, the redness, pain, itching, inflammation, is all down so much. At this rate, my breakouts will be healed in a couple days. I wish I found this stuff last year when I had to be hospitalized 2 times bc of hair follicles becoming infected, that caused an abscess. 2 actually. The second one got so bad, it was like an avocado size, had to be lanced and drained. The same spots will flare up and I been using my magic healer drawing salve, which has been saving me from another hospital visit but its thick and greasy, left stains, so to discover Spencer's gel and seeing how amazing it works, hopefully I wont have to use the other stuff. But always good to have such a great product on hand. You cant beat the price and considering its effectiveness is amazing, I hope they dont increase it. Definitely going to tell everyone about this stuff. And I want to try the alkaline water solution this company makes as well. Sounds amazing too!

Helps fight and stop staff infection
I used this for some staff infection that I got in the calf of my leg. I applied this a couple times a day or whenever I changed my bandages. It helped to pull the infection out so it can heal faster. Doesn’t have the best smell but nothing you can’t get past especially if your fighting a staff infection at home. It comes in a good sized bottle, 8 ounces is what I got, I used it a couple times a day for a week or so, and I barely used any so far. It doesn’t burn or sting when putting it on. It’s priced a little high I feel but I guess you can’t really put a price on something that can fight and stop Staff infection from spreading. It definitely worked on mine.

Not another gimmick
This stuff works. I think I heard about Spencer’s on a Reddit post and was a little suspicious because I haven’t heard of it before. I am very into skin and body care and am always looking for what works best. I have very intense scarring and dark pigmentation from body acne (let’s be real I’m talking about butt acne) and nothing has worked to clear it. Not cute. I’ve tried glycolic acid, retinols, AHA/BHA, in all types of forms. This gel is the only thing that has worked. There has been significant improvement in a pretty short amount of time. I still have some pigmentation but it is definitely lighter. I have only been using this for a few weeks but I think it will continue to improve over time with consistent use. The big negative I have is the packaging. It is a very liquidy gel. Too thick to use on a cotton pad but thin enough that you have to apply it very quickly. The bottle doesn’t help and I find you can waste product quickly. Not fun when it is a lil pricey Overall, try this. Especially if nothing else has worked. I am curious to see how it works on other skin blemishes like stretch marks or scars. And how the MAX version compares.

Get the small bottle.
Works well. However only get the small 4 oz. bottle. The 8 oz. bottle si always a bad batch. the first 8 oz. bottle had clumps with pink spots. I got a replacement and it still had clumps but no pink. So I tried it and it was irritating. The 4 oz. worked great. I don't know if it was old, or a bad batch or if they changed the formula. I had an old 4 oz. bottle from 3 years ago and it was fine. When I ordered a new 4 oz bottle, it was the same.

All Unverified Hype
At least the product didn't do any harm, but didn't see any difference in the healing process that time wasn't the main factor in. After reading the description about the product, again, I realized if relies heavily on the anecdotal and little on fact.

A little pricey but worth every penny yall!
I am so very thankful to have run across this y'all! I have been dealing with a open wound on the top side of my foot that just would not heal. A undiagnosed or self-diagnosed Morgellons wound, I'm certain of. I have tried so many products before this. Starting with the most common like Neosporin only to learn it's really not very helpful, Prescription topicals, Oral antibiotics, manuka honey and tons of other healing salves/ creams. All would seem to help for a little while then hit a plateau sort of speak. I finally started to give silver a try orally and topically. Which made such a huge difference in such a short time. Y'all This wound has been a pain in the butt every day for almost 3 years now. That meant no days out on the water during the summer months (something I live for). Also means no tennis shoes or cute boots during the colder months. I've been able to wear flip flops and flats. The frustration was no joke. After running out of my oral colloidal silver so came to amazon to repurchase, I ended up down a rabbit hole of products and their reviews. I actually had seen spencer's gel a few times before but thought Oh that's for staph or dang that's sort of costly. I always just passed by it. Until one day I saw someone on YouTube raving about how well it has helped them with some bed sores. I don't know if it was the universe speaking to me or what, but I decided my foot was worth the cost even if it didn't work. I'm worth the cost, losing my foot and or even my entire leg has always been my worry. Maybe a little dramatic.... maybe not. Thanks to this product I will never know because my foot is now 98% healed. I can wear tennis shoes again. There is no open wound anymore. It's all surface now. Almost like a minor scratch. I honestly think that the silver alone may have healed it but on a very slow pace. Once I added in the spencer's gel The healing took off. Within a month or so give or take, I'm so happy to say This issue is almost a thing of my past. You all may be thinking " You didn't have to tell us all that" and you're right, I didn't. My point in doing so is to tell you #1 You are worth the cost of this amazing product. #2 Just because it says something about being for staph doesn't mean it won't work for your issue. It's so worth giving it a shot. I saw a big difference after the very first application. Then after a week of using it daily the difference was unbelievable. That being said give it a little bit to do its thing. #3 Is because I wanted everyone to get an idea of how bad I was struggling with this wound on my foot. I want to scream from the roof tops about how much it helped me. Morgellons or not I'm so much happier and healthier mentally and physically because of this $20 gel. Y'all you are worth it cost... I'm telling you give it a try. Then keep some in your medical stash.

Misleading claims
I bought this product and returned it, and wanted to leave a review in case it helps others. The Amazon listing states: “lab-certified to kill Staph aureus on skin contact.” But the label on the actual bottle says: “does not prevent Staph or MRSA and is not an antibacterial cleanser.” These two statements are at odds, and the marketing feels very carefully worded. Looking more closely at the ingredients (which I should have done beforehand), the formula is basically a high-alkaline gel with citrus oils. High alkalinity can kill bacteria in a lab dish, which is likely what the claim refers to, but that’s not the same as being an antibacterial product for use on actual skin. Human skin naturally has an acidic surface layer (“acid mantle”), and using highly alkaline products can disrupt that balance. For people with sensitive or compromised skin, that can sometimes make things worse rather than better. Overall, the product did not match the impression given by the listing, and I chose to return it.

Works for maskne and prickly heat rash
Hate wearing surgical masks as they irritate my skin but they are a must at some places. The gel is cooling and calms the bumps caused by long hours of mask-wearing.
