I have carried a flashlight with me every day for years and I have always been searching for the perfect multifunction light - and the HD01 Pro is the one that checks all the boxes! I have been carrying this light for almost 3 months now and it has been such a great experience. This flashlight has a lot of different functions so it takes some time to remember how to access the different modes via a series of click-hold or double/triple clicks but I memorized the UI pretty easily and now I use most of the features almost every single day. Firstly, the white sidelight is awesome, I love using it for tasks where I want clean, diffused light closer to me. Whether I’m doing a quick repair on something or using it as a night light while I’m reading a bedtime story to my son, the sidelight works so well and can get very bright if needed although I mostly use it on low or medium. The added RGB functions are a fun bonus but also the blinking modes can be helpful for making me more visible when it gets dark. The only thing I would change is to also have a sidelight that is on the opposite side of the clip so I could clip the light onto my shirt and use it hands free (it does have a reversible pocket clip but I’m not always wearing a hat to turn this flashlight into a headlamp). The magnet on the back is quite strong and holds the flashlight very well on various surfaces. I have used it on metal cabinets, my fridge, my car, etc. and never had an issue. The main LED of the HD01 Pro illuminates well, I was surprised at how well it illuminates on high especially considering how compact the body of the light is. I hardly ever need to use it on its highest setting but if I do, I know it will be more than enough for most situations where I just need to see where I’m going in the dark. If I need more lumens or a tactical flashlight for a situation then I bring an extra one with me (I have plenty of other flashlights with super high lumens) but the HD01 Pro is still my staple for EDC. The laser is handy to have when trying to point out something from afar or for presentations but I end up using it mostly for fun like having pets chase it around. The UV light is handy for identifying spills or fluids but I use it mostly to recharge my son’s glow-in-the-dark cars at night without having to use the main LED. I love how well the UV light works for charging up the cars and making them glow very well. One tradeoff that has to be made for a flat style flashlight is a built-in battery is typically needed in order to keep the overall size down. I’m OK with this because I don’t charge my flashlight frequently, only when the battery gets low. This helps prolong the battery life compared to frequently charging it. It’s nice that Wurkkos designed it so the indicators around the buttons glow red when the battery gets low. In a future version I’d love to see a digital display of the battery percentage but I know this would make the flashlight more expensive. The best thing about the flat style is how well it fits in my pocket. It make a huge difference having a flat body versus a rounded body for fitting nicely in the pocket and I love it for that. Overall I think Wurkkos hit a home run with this flashlight, it packs so many useful features into a slim design that fits so well in my pocket that I barely notice it. I have carried this flashlight every day for almost 3 months now and I absolutely love it! I hope a future version has an additional sidelight on the opposite side of the pocket clip so I can clip it to my shirt collar and use it hands free. Other than that one change, this flashlight is a 10/10!

Wow! What a fantastic and useful light! As a mechanic, I had a specific set of needs and I think this one checks all the boxes. The Pros: It has a good, adjustable brightness flashlight - It has a laser pointer to point out problem parts, leaks etc. - The flashlight and laser pointer to work at the same time so I can illuminate a dark area and still see the laser - It has a good U/V light for detection of leaks - and again to be used with the laser pointer - a side RGB light to offer a good flood of bright white light (no dim yellow stuff here) - a magnetic base so I can stick it where I need it and keep my hands free - a dual direction clip so I can carry it in my pocket or slide it onto the bill of my hat to use like a headlamp - It's compact and lightweight and has a built in rechargeable battery. The Cons - That built in battery is not replaceable but it should offer years of use - The built in battery is not big (1200 mah) so it may require a mid-day recharge but has worked well for me. The finish is durable but slick. I wish it had some texture to give a bit better grip. No tail switch (but it's usually that OR a magnetic base) U/V light is good but not great. It definitely does the job but there are better U/V lights out there. It has the obligatory side RGB lights but at least you don't have to scroll through all those options to get to the white light you really need. I tested a lot of lights and this one checks all the boxes at a reasonable price. I have several Wurkkos flashlights and they are quickly becoming some of my favorites. This is such a versatile light. It would make a good walking or camping light as well as go to work with you. All of this at a reasonable price makes this a no brainer. Buy one!

Great little light. Super bright, easy to use and settings for all scenarios. Battery lasts a long time.
