Review: Product arrived sticky and dusty - Book is good so far, however, when the book was taken out of the package, the front and back cover had a sticky dust film on it. Not sure where the books are being stored, but clearly, not in a clean environment. Was able to wash the front and back cover with soap and water and it seemed to come off, but strange that a new book would arrive in this condition. Review: This is not a HOW TO book on exactly what exercise to do, this is not it. - I am a male, 64 years old, diagnosed July 2024. If you are looking for a HOW TO book on exactly what exercise to do, this is not it. It is a fairly comprehensive book of facts, studies and testimonials on what exercise can do for a Person with Parkinson's Disease (abbreviated as PWP or PWPD). It describes several exercises, such as running, strength training, biking and swimming, it does not lay out a fitness plan. I had already laid out my fitness plan months prior to purchasing this book and have had remarkable success with it. As far as where, what type, how much to do, is left up to the reader. I have made it a goal to recommend exercises to people with Parkinson's. Yes, you can find a lot of similar information online, perhaps for free. The book lays out a lot of information in one volume. Done by qualified experts in Parkinson's. All I can add is this, intense exercise for PWP works for MANY, MANY people. Me included. Too many simply want to take pills and settle for what relief they give. Exercise is NOT in place of medication, it supplements it. To quote a saying for many recovery systems for other ailments: The plan works, IF you work it. I challenge everyone with PD to try it for a month, if you see no results, decide then if to proceed. Give it at least 2 months. Always check with your health provider if you can exercise before you beginning a regimen of your own..

The Holy Grail of Parkinson's Excercise
This book has been a life saver to me. Diagnosed 3 years ago aged 40 I've always worked out and knew from the get go how important excercise is especially for fighting this disease. But I wasn't sure I was doing the best for trying to slow the progression and manage my symptoms. That's when I found this book, the holy grail of fitness for Parkinson's! The stories and evidence are all here to see. High intensity excercise is a MUST for fighting this disease and pushing back. Highly recommend and Kristine is such an amazing coach who I've had the privilege to work with 🙏

Changing our lives one bike at a time
Wow!! What life changing information packed in this book. Kristine has given us the history of Parkinson’s Disease (PD) exercise in a timeline that makes it crystal clear why people with PD have struggled so much through the years. They we’re prescribed rest and sedation. The science she carefully presents supports that high intensity training will reduce symptoms and walking proof in so many, including me, demonstrates that people with PD will get better with effort. Now we know how to help those willing to do what it takes to stay in shape. We have our work cut out for us to find and educate those who have no idea the potential they have within to get better. Hats off to Kristine and thanks for her hard work on making this book such an easy recommendation. Kristine has changed my life and given all of us the tools to impact and change the course of this disease. I truly believe researchers trying to cure PD are missing an important piece of the puzzle if they do not consider the impact of the formula laid out in Kristine’s book. Take that levodopa and get that heart rate going!! You will not be sorry.
