DollaTek L7805 LM7805 three - terminal regulator 5V regulator module

I had to extend 5V DC power to a myenergi hub in the porch, the only place it could access all the other devices, so I opted to feed it as POE from the cellar. Although the ethernet cable was barely 8m the voltage drop on the spare pairs was such that it would not work with the supplied PSU, so I popped this in a black junction box near the hub and fed the POE adaptor with a 12V DC supply in the cellar. This worked a treat albeit the regulator ran a little hot. The only other supply I had was 9V AC, but this regulator has an inbuilt rectifier, so I swapped to that and now everything is hunky dory. This saved me calling in an electrician and all the associated damage with getting a power socket in the porch, so I am very pleased with it. It has been working several months without a problem.

As long as you don't mind stray noise, it's fine. Among other electronics, it is a disaster.

Output on pins and also on lm7805 read the same as the input. So it has a faulty lm7805 transistor

Beware that this board does not a load resistor to meet the minimum required for regulation. This means the output could go well above 5V if you don't ensure there's a minimum load (it's about 5mA). Also, the seller didn't ship some parts until after the longest estimate of the delivery date and did not communicate a delay.

Nutze es um von einer 12 Volt AC Klingelanlage 5 Volt für meinen ESP8266 zu bekommen. Läuft Prima ! Es wird normal warm, aber das ist ja auch richtig so, Top Ding zum super Preis !

J'ai d'abord été surpris de ne pas trouver une indication sur le sens de l'entrée mais, en regardant, il y a quatre petite diodes en pont... donc, le sens n'est plus important. Je crois que je vais remplacer mes 7805 par ce petit montage agréable
