So easy to change everything out. I just lifted out the old unit and placed this one inside. The only thing I had to attach was the breather tube which was in the bottom of the box. Since I changed out the unit, no more DE in my pool. I also changed out two o-rings for the Jandy Del 60 filter. I ordered those separately. My old filters lasted 5 years. I have only been using them for two weeks. I hope they last as long as the originals. If I have any problems, I will update post.

Usually this event, cleaning DE filters is a long process.  Backwash, Close Valve, Open relief valve, Open bottom and drain, Open lid, Pull out assembly......Then the work begins.  Disassemble the manifold and separate all the fins.  Rinse them down and inspect, inspect, inspect.  Clean Manifold and inspect.  Go to store and buy replacement fins, and a new o-ring, rebuild the assembly.....All of that work is gone.  Simply insert new assembly, which comes with the new o-ring and breathing tube.  Added my DE and done!I get that this maybe lazy.  But in the winter, cold, rainy outside.  Once a couple years splurge and just replace it all.

Our pool is sparkling clear again. Super easy to replace the existing 10 yr old Jandy filter cartridge.  Just lifted the old one out an dropped the new one in.
