A: Not sure where the previous 'answer' came from, but this is clearly not only for BMW...in fact BMW isn't even listed in the compatibility.  This is primarily for Ford and Volvo (when Volvo were being made by Ford)

Works great in my 1997 Maxima. The splice block that comes with it was simple to install after watching the instructional video. Saved several dollars over the identical sensor with a OEM-style pigtail already attached. Took about 20 minutes extra. Was it worth the extra work? It was for me, but YMMV. Depends if you have more time or money.
